  1. And we're only a few weeks into the summer! Very encouraging indeed.
  2. Small school basketball isn't for everyone. Idk any specifics about Vijay, but I could see him not liking playing in front of a few hundred fans every night after watching his brother play in Assembly Hall and such. Being a walk-on at a school like IU might be a more enjoyable experience.
  3. Ah yeah true. I was assuming Archie will fill that one this year so I forgot about it.
  4. We'll have at least 5. Hartman, McSwain, Newkirk, Priller, Rojo.
  5. Steve Kerr's status is still up in the air. Golden State is a well-oiled machine, but Mike Brown is a really bad coach. If any games come down to crunch time that could end up hurting them.
  6. Idk about Cody, but I remember hearing that guys like Duncan, KG, Jermaine O'neal, and others would say that they were 6'11 to avoid being labeled 7 footers. Idk how much truth there is to it, but yeah I've heard something similar about big guys before.
  7. So bad lol. He's the kind of player that makes his teammates give no effort because they know they won't see the ball. Lonzo's the only one of the three that'll make the NBA imo. The other two will get crushed by their dad's hype. You could tell the guys on the other team wanted to go after Lamelo every possession.
  8. Someone with digital skills should make a collab with that video and the Watshot and tweet it at him.
  9. Is De'ron a legit 6'10? That's great if he is, but I always thought it seemed like a generous height for him. The 6'8ish range seemed to be more accurate.
  10. Lol I figured new coach, new attitude. In all seriousness though I fully expect a top half of the Big 10 finish. Anything worse is a Tom Crean type of result imo, and we definitely didn't hire Archie for that.
  11. I think part of that was due to him not being in basketball shape and adjusting to the speed of the game. He missed all of last summer so I think being here all summer this year can help him make that jump. He might not put up those kind of numbers but he should be able to get the fouling under control and put up double figures.
  12. Top 4 in the Big Ten and the sweet 16, y'all heard it here first. I think we're gonna play through De'ron and he'll have a 15 and 8 type of season.
  13. They're in a great position to take over the East as Cleveland declines, but sometimes crap happens and things don't always go according to plan so I could see them getting antsy and making moves to compete for championships now. They're a superstar and a quality rim protector away from that, imo. Right now they have a team that can win a ton of games in the regular season but come playoff time they're not there yet. It'll be interesting to see what they do with Thomas. He has a year left on his contract and I assume he's gonna want the max when he hits free agency. Personally if I was Boston I wouldn't give it to him. He's 28 and we've seen how little guys like him break down earlier than bigger players. I would try trading him now while his value is up coming off his great regular season. Draft Fultz, use the Brad Stevens connection to try and get Hayward, and then try trading Thomas for a big is what I would do.
  14. That would be pretty sweet.
  15. I'm curious to see if Boston continued their process of slow and steady improvement or if they trade this year's pick to try and get someone to compete for championships now.
  16. Looks like the current moment didn't last long lol.
  17. I never knew that about him and the brawl, but I just looked it up and it's really interesting. I was only 10 at the time and my parents tried keeping me from watching anything brawl related after it happened.
  18. James Jones makes it to his 7th straight NBA Finals!
  19. The big difference in games played comes largely from each of their first three years in the playoffs. Jordan played 10 total games during that span, while LeBron played 46. Since then LeBron has averaged 18.3 games per playoffs, compared to 16.9 for Jordan. Give Jordan an extra game per year due to the 1st round being best of 5 back then and the two have essentially played the same number of games in the playoffs each year after their first three. There's not really any point to this lol, but I'm bored waiting for the game to start and was looking this up so I felt like sharing.
  20. LeBron is now 28 points away from breaking Michael Jordan's playoff scoring record. LeBron has played 211 playoff games to Jordan's 179, taken 4361 shots to Jordan's 4497, and 1933 free throws to Jordan's 1766.
  21. The only way to become a Boilermaker legend is to get beat down in the sweet 16.
  22. Archie's probably just trying to branch out to as many former players as possible. I imagine Etherington's issues with IU had more to do with the staff than the school itself.
  23. If you're crazy then I'm crazy too because to me he really seems like a kid that wants to be a Hoosier. Of course it depends on the relationship he builds with Archie and the staff, but I'm hopeful.
  24. I know he was probably talking about the basketball team, but when it comes to the campus and the coeds nothing is making Purdue look "sexy". Hopefully he's eventually able to scrub off the West Lafayette smell.
