  1. That would be interesting. The current divisions would actually be pretty equal in basketball.
  2. Wasn't expecting him to decommit to go to a lesser school.
  3. It's interesting following some of the guys, but this is probably for the better.
  4. Here's to hoping the bad seasons are over with, or at least seasons as bad as last year.
  5. Ahh I see. How long ago was it when people moved over here from there? I remember, I think it was last summer, when things on here got bad and some people jumped ship for a different site but I mostly just lurked back then.
  6. I feel like I'm sitting in a Btownbanners history lecture but I didn't do any of the assigned readings. What is/was HSN?
  7. Did Knight care about getting players to the NBA? He doesn't strike me as someone who would give a crap about that, but I wasn't around so I don't know. That's one thing that really irritated me about Crean. I get that the times are different now than they were then, but it almost seemed like Crean was more focused on developing players for the NBA than he was winning games for IU.
  8. I've always wondered and since it was brought up, what exactly is the "Toon Squad"? Also is everything good with Hovadipo? I haven't seen much from him on here this summer.
  9. Sure he wasn't the greatest guy but he was one of the greatest basketball coaches in the history of the sport. Both things can be true.
  10. Yeah I mean I understand that some people have soured on Knight because of how he has acted post-IU, but there's no denying the impact he had on the program. Heck, he hasn't stepped foot in Assembly Hall in almost 17 years and he's still synonymous with IU basketball to a lot of people.
  11. Yeah, in 1940 and 1953. Cincinnati and Oklahoma State both won two NCs 50+ years ago too. Does anyone consider them elite programs? Bob Knight turned IU into a blue blood program.
  12. Because he made IU basketball, IU basketball. I don't really have any reason to hate the guy. He was before my time.
  13. If I had to guess on what Crean is like as a person I'd say he's probably like most people. Not as great as his supporters say he is, but not as bad as his critics say he is either. He's probably somewhere in the middle. Edit: JSHoosier beat me to it.
  14. If he's following Dakich then I have no choice but to question his decision making abilities.
  15. Juwan Morgan alleged added 8.5 inches to his vertical this summer. If legit that'd be huge.
  16. Is our line this year projected to be good or worse than last year?
  17. I don't hope that he'll fail, I just think that he will. If he proves me wrong I'll be thrilled.
  18. Fake news, fake news! Lol. Even though the differences probably aren't as big as they seem, it still looks impressive to the recruits that see the pictures.
  19. Yeah I'm hoping we run more and throw less this year. If he's slinging it 40+ times a game like he did several times last year then we could be in trouble. If we can get him to be a game manager that doesn't turn the ball over then we should be ok.
  20. He put up pretty solid numbers his sophomore year despite sharing the job - 2500 yards and 21 touchdowns. Interceptions is the big difference between him and Lagow. Sudfeld threw 20 during his entire IU career, Lagow threw 17 last season.
  21. This is a great question. Rob, maybe? He seems like he'd be able to get his own shot, but I really don't know. I can't remember enough late game situations from these guys to give a good answer. If we have to go the length of the court then I say Green because he made two shots last year from beyond half court. Just reread the thread title, do you mean late game situations or situations late in the shot clock throughout the game?
  22. Yeah no offense to Lagow, but he's a redshirt senior and turns 23 at the start of the season. If it hasn't clicked for him by this point then I'm doubtful that it ever will.
  23. The 3 years to learn his defense was probably hyperbole. It's just basketball so I doubt his defense is that complex to figure out. If he was being serious then he needs to find an easier way to teach it because expecting it to take 3 years to learn is unrealistic.
  24. I'd like to see a before and after of De'ron. If I recognize him I'm going to be disappointed! Lol.
