Hahah. I don't watch much NFL, maybe a half dozen games a year max, but I've always been impressed with Tom Brady. Father Time's undefeated but he sure seems to be giving him a run for his money.
-
Any other Tom Brady fans on here? Or am I the only one. His ability to play at an MVP level at age 40 is incredible to me.
-
I didn't think he had emotions.

(2019) SF Keion Brooks Jr. to Kentucky

What position does this kid play? I thought power forward but then saw him described as a Troy Williams type. In my non-expert opinion I've been down on him since he got worked by Romeo. -
(2019) PF Isaiah Stewart to Washington

High ranked recruit coming to a game that should have a great atmosphere... Yup that sounds good to me. The result might not be very good, but I imagine that's part of the vision Archie is giving to these kids - We're not good now, but you can come in and help change that. -
(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
Hoosierfan2017 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I can see where he's coming from with the "legend" stuff. If he goes to Kansas he's just going to be another one of their 5 star recruits they get each year. He'll be forgotten about by Kansas fans a few years after he leaves. Andrew Wiggins was a highly touted player for them but he's not going to be considered a "legend" by very many people. Vanderbilt fans are few and far between so I don't see him reaching legend status there unless they go on a deep tournament run. Being an Indiana kid, coming here would give him an opportunity to become an all-time great in the state. -

What decision has he made in his life that's bigger than this one? -

Or he genuinely doesn't know where he wants to go and he wants to take his time making the biggest decision of his life. Just a possibility. -

How do you know they are wrong? The kid is an 18 year old freshman. We still have a while before we should draw a conclusion on whether keeping him was the right decision. -

Race Thompson is a better use of the open scholarship than a grad big would've been. -

What has Garland said? I remember the comment about UCLA being #2, but has he said anything else? -
Would Archie Leave For Another School?
Hoosierfan2017 replied to IUrocker's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Archie's heading to Vanderbilt as an assistant. They're going to take our recruits and our coach. Anchors down! -
To add to this, I really like seeing the social media promoting our defense. Archie's going to instill a culture centered on defense here.

(2021) CG Jalen Blackmon
Hoosierfan2017 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I think JBJ's defense would've been better had he played for Archie. He just never had a coach who prioritized it. Hopefully Vijay enjoys his time here and Jalen becomes a high major prospect. -
I hope so. There are already so many transfers now. Remove the penalty for transferring and I can only imagine how many more there would be. Hopefully they make the stipulations tough to meet.
-
Ugh. This would be a TERRIBLE decision.

That's something that I think gets lost a lot of the time. I don't know the guy personally. Maybe he's a great guy, does great work in the community, etc. Who knows. He's just a guy who seems to be willing to play dirty to get recruits. Nothing more, nothing less. -

Bryce Drew is definitely dirty. You don't land two top 10 players at a school like Vandy without venturing into murky waters. The fact they're in the running for a third top 10 player in the midst of a 6-12 season says a lot. -

In that case I don't think the game could've went much better than it did. -
So I will officially eat crow on the defense
Hoosierfan2017 replied to Brass Cannon's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I really respect Davis for working his butt off this summer to get in shape, but he's limited athletically and doesn't really fit Archie's system, imo. I don't think it's a coincidence that the defense has looked much better since he went down. I think Clifton Moore is a player who will fit in well on defense once he gets acclimated to the college game. -

As a whole I would take the talent we have coming in over what Vandy has coming in. Vandy has the flashy pieces with two top 10 recruits, while we have five 4 stars (including Race). However, Shittu just messed up his knee and has already stated that he plans on being a one and done. He's going to want his share of the spotlight. Same with Garland. If Romeo comes here he will have quality teammates but he will be the clear cut #1 guy. I see it coming down to us or Kansas, and I give Kansas the slight advantage. Either way I hope the rumor is true so we get an answer one way or another. -
