  1. Sorry, best that can be done.
  2. More smiley faces and GIFs from the usual suspects
  3. Rick Pitino is on top of the college basketball world rn yet IU is afraid to hire Will Wade lmao. This is why we can’t have nice things.
  4. Sounds like the kind of coach I’d like, lol.
  5. I’m hearing some soft chatter that Dolson cut Shaka from his short list after the search firm uncovered video of him forgetting to thank his waiter for a refill during his Texas tenure.
  6. He’s won 78% of his games at Houston and made at least the sweet 16 in each of the last five tournaments. IU has four sweet 16 appearances in the past 30 years. You don’t hire a guy like Sampson in the first place if you’re just going to execute yourself at the first sign of trouble, yet that’s exactly what IU did.
  7. No one will ever accuse me of being an optimist, but in the case of IU basketball, I think my IU fandom being entirely post-Knight warrants the extreme negativity. We’ve seen the IU administration make bad decision after bad decision for the better part of 25 years, and the rumors we’ve been hearing don’t give me much hope that this decision will be any different.
  8. Well, that depends on who the guy at the end of the completed search is. It could entirely still be the sign of an incompetent search.
  9. Wouldn’t Wade’s show cause have been a bigger deal last cycle than this cycle? Could be a reason why neither hired him then. I agree neither is coming here, which is why we’ll likely be right back here 3-4 years from now.
  10. Dolson isn’t going to be able to pull the “no big names wanted the job” card this time around. Not with Beard and (apparently) Wade pining for the job. You’ve got Beard wearing a shirt with a Bob Knight quote on it during his press conference.. An underwhelming hire is going to put the heat on immediately. “Sorry, I know Will Wade wanted the job, but you better be happy with Brad Brownell” just isn’t going to cut it.
  11. For better or worse we’ll find out soon. This is his chance to show us he’s not just an empty suit doing other people’s bidding. I don’t think he’s stupid. I just think he’s weak.
  12. Lmao if Wade wants the job and Dolson gives us Brad Brownell then Brownell’s introductory press conference should be Dolson’s resignation press conference.
  13. Because the IU administration is filled with self-righteous do-gooders who care about looking self righteous instead of being an elite basketball program. What they fail to realize is no one cares and the broader collegiate basketball world sees the program as a joke.
  14. Hire this guy. https://twitter.com/bradlogancote/status/1900586940241449384?s=46&t=LoczziaTWuqlhvyvHGT92A
  15. Which narrative? I pump multiple
  16. Do you actually believe Brownell would be a good hire, or are you looking to scold us? IU basketball has not been good during Dolson’s hire. Hiring Woodson, raising his salary, and retaining him for a fourth season were all bad decisions. Folks will say Dolson didn’t have control over any of those decisions, but they were made on his watch. I’ll start trusting Dolson when it comes to IU basketball once he starts making good IU basketball decisions.
  17. It’s almost as ridiculous as hiring Brad Brownell would be.
  18. NC State will end up hiring Will Wade and then we’ll be gaslight into believing that whatever mediocre hire Dolson ends up making was the best we could do. Good coaches are out there. IU just won’t get the hell over itself and hire them.
  19. Beard and Wade are completely different spheres of issues. Wade didn’t hurt anyone and didn’t do anything that many more established, high profile coaches weren’t also doing. He was just the up and comer the NCAA could crack down on. If IU is still sticking to its holier than thou attitude then the administration deserves all the Ls coming its way.
  20. Dude has great PR to shift the blame off himself from the Woodson hire, but he won’t be able to do it this time around. This one’s all on him. He’s going to need to either pull a rabbit out of a hat or hope Cignetti keeps winning 10+ games to keep the heat off.
  21. Give Wade a strong *** offer and get this show on the road. The Boy Scout approach hasn’t gotten us anywhere for 2+ decades now.
  22. It goes far beyond alleged death threats. Woodson, his players, and his Twitter burners have been spinning the blame the fanbase narrative for over a year. And if you’re getting crappy DMs from fans then just turn off your DMs. It’s absolutely nothing unique to IU fans.
  23. Brownell when Dolson calls to offer him the job.
  24. Woodson views himself as a perpetual victim and has instilled that mindset in his team. We need to completely clean house with the program.
  25. Just lol at the thought of hiring Brad freaking Brownell. I don’t agree with it, but there’s at least an argument for McCollum. Hes young, he’s done extremely well in D2 and is 30-3 his first year at Drake. It’s unknown how he’d do at IU, but he’s won big at the levels he’s coached at. Brownell would just be the ultimate “this program is dead and I suck at my job” hire by Dolson. He’s been incredibly mediocre for 15 years in the ACC. There’s just nothing there to rationalize it.
