Another plus---are his family connections. I did some research and his adopted brother is Rashon Burno who is an assistant coach for Arizona State with Hurley--apparently they both went to St. Anthony's. Anyway--Burno was an assistant coach for Donovan at Florida and most recently at Nebraska where he only stayed a few days before leaving to reunite with Hurley. Connections are good in the recruiting world.

Gladstone looks like he was a good high school coach the last few years at St. Luke in Connecticut too--New England champion the last two years. Also a college strength and conditioning coach on his resume'. Perhaps he can help us with some future connections ...I do like a few tough NewYork/New England kids on the roster---still wish Holt would have made better decisions at IU--liked him a lot. Anyway--Archie is definitely moving on the recruiting trail. This will be interesting to watch ... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

IUFB Offseason Updates
rebelhoosier848891 replied to ThompsonHoosier's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Will Cobb's bad decision cost him a chance to play against OSU? Anybody hearing anything? Some coaches treat off season violations different than during the season ones. Don't know if there is any precedent with Coach Allen. We were all young once --but come on--use your brain Simmie --and learn from this. We need all hands on deck to be competitive with the Bickeyes. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Wow--another great recruit. Love it that we are adding some Indiana flavor--3 recruits in 24 hours--it is Christmas in July! Who is next Coach? Romeo --Romeo--wherefore art though Romeo??? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
(2018) PF Race Thompson to IU
rebelhoosier848891 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Great pickup! Good start by Coach Miller to land a top 100 player. I like his game and there aren't an abundance of quality inside guys to recruit right now. He has a year to get used to the speed of the game and gain strength and muscle plus is a great insurance policy in case of unforeseen injuries. I like that he will get to practice with and against our current players for a season and he will be ready on day 1 next year. Seems like a heady player and a good passer --nice outlets---and brings a wicked hook shot to the inside game. I am sure it had to be tough to say no to Minny where his dad was a legend--Welcome to Hoosier Nation Race....you won't be disappointed. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
If college basketball programs were countries
rebelhoosier848891 replied to Magnanimous's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
So true! We may have to resurrect it sometime---Now that Archie is here--maybe IU should be a new country? -
Chris Holtmann named Ohio State Head Coach
rebelhoosier848891 replied to FortWayneHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Good hire by the Buckeyes---but imo we did better. I would love to see Lewis get the Butler gig but I don't see that happening yet. Anyway---good to see another good coach in the Big! -
Thad Matta OUT @ OSU

Not a shocker to me--I always felt Matta underperformed with the level of talent he had. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Sad story of James Hardy

Sad news---loved watching him play football. Prayers to his family. Rest In Peace James. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
If the reports are correct and JBJ and TB have hired agents and are staying in the draft---I will be disappointed by what could have been. But---if RoJo comes back and we don't lose any other guards--we can still be strong. Could be addition by subtraction for the defense. I am still optimistic as we have a lot of players with Big Ten experience and a leader in Hartman. Coach'em up Archie!

Well crud--I really wanted TB back and now I am not so sure he will be. This does prove Archie's recruiting prowess. Expect the unexpected. Maybe. Hartman and Priller will be on graduate academic scholarships since they will both have their degrees. I thought we were getting the band back together but it turns out we may be auditioning for some new players and singers. Either way I trust Coach. Let's see how this works out. I like the potential of Moore as it is great having a big to develop on the bench but if he comes I am fearing it means TB won't be back--I sure would like to see what Archie could do with the big fella (TB) for a year. Obviously Coach has a plan that will soon become a lot more clear! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

You can just tell the team is already working hard and hungry for success next season. If we somehow keep everyone but OG --that tells me something immediately about Archie ---the players believe in him too. This old Hoosier is getting the itch to go outside and shoot some hoops just like old times. Good to have all this excitement back again for IU basketball ! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Wow---I try to work for a half a day and all this new info comes comes in.....man Archie is out to get a homerun staff and it looks like he is putting the full court press on to get Romeo--who is a program changer in the mold of Zeller and Yogi--lots of hard work to be done but Archie is definitely committed to winning sooner rather than later. He is showing me something In that he has the "testicular fortitude" to challenge UCLA for their main recruiter. I love it. Skip the rebuild and get to the winning! I will give Archie some leash here---he is coming into a situation from the outside and I would expect him to want to have a couple guys on the staff that he knows are good, proven and loyal. Let him bring a couple of buddies from Dayton---who have helped him win in the past. I have no problem with it as long as we get at least one IU or Indiana high school guy on the staff too. Sorry-- but I do expect that and will be disappointed if it does not occur....Go Archie! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
