  6. Live Stats The Indiana women's soccer team (6-2-1) (0-1-0) will host Iowa in a nationally televised match on the Big Ten Network on Thursday Sept. 23 at 8:00 p.m. ET. SCOUTING THE HAWKEYES Iowa comes in with a record of 7-1-1 on the season with their only defeat on the road at Kansas. The Hawkeyes won their Big Ten opener last week at home 2-1 against Northwestern. In the shortened spring season of 2021 Iowa won their program's first ever Big Ten Tournament Championship, defeating Wisconsin in the final. Iowa beat Campbell in the first round of the NCAA tournament before dropping a match to UCLA. The Hawkeyes finished that season with an overall record of 7-9-1. Last season the Hoosiers beat Iowa 2-0 in Bloomington. WEBBER, GERSTENBERG EARN BIG TEN HONORS Paige Webber earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week and Jamie Gerstenberg earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Sept. 14. Webber got a hat trick against Murray State and added an assist in the Hoosiers win at Kansas State. Gerstenberg has three straight shutouts and six shutouts on the season. OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION Against Southeast Missouri State on Sunday the Hoosiers scored six goals, their most in a match since the 2011 season. All six goals came in the first half of the match, which set a program record for goals in a half. Six different players scored the six goals for the Hoosiers. The Hoosiers hold a 17-3 advantage in goal scoring over their opponents this season and have scored 13 goals in their last four matches.
  7. Jobe has received an invititation to Coach Wootten's Top 150 Camp set for Oct. 2 and 3. The top 100 seniors, top 50 juniors, and a handful of the top sophomores for both the boys and the girls at the same location for 2 days of competition in Dallas! The invite-only event will be the first time when the top 150 will come together in one location for 2 days of skill work and game to prove themselves.
  8. Comment on Gibbs-Lawhorn following last weekend's DT Academy event in Norcross, GA. The Indiana-native is prepping in Utah and immediately popped out during drills, he’s got a great-looking jump shot that soars and cuts the net, in 3 on 3 drill work he was unstoppable and took much of that into gameplay Sunday where he was able to take anyone there off the bounce (and there were some serious defenders in the gym) and was tremendous out in the open floor, can play it smooth or get off the deck in a hurry around the basket, holds Indiana and Purdue offers from his home state and that list is going to expand rapidly.
  9. @saisportsagency added this today. As a slight correction, Achilleas will be playing in the top league in Cyprus called the OPAP Basketball League this season after earning promotion last year!
  10. Hey gang, so far so good, but we're dipping our toe into politics so we need to tread lightly. And FWIW, we know the only chant PUke students know and it hasn't done a thing for their general standing or IQ level after all these years.
  11. Word circulated he bailed on his AAU team.
  12. Information this morning: IU spokesperson says face coverings are required.
  13. Staying with the same team for 2021-2022 Strategic Athlete Initiatives @SAIsportsagency SAI is pleased to announce that De'Ron Davis has finalized a contract to play in Cyprus! Davis will be a driving force for Achilleas Kaimakliou for the 2021-22 season!
  14. Aw, you're breakin' my heart -- NOT!
  15. Background on Logan Imes. Interesting comment from Mark Adams his Indiana Elite (Adidas) AAU coach who started him out on the 16U squad and then moved him up to the 17U team. “I don’t play guys up very often,” Adams said. “The only two guys I’ve played up from 16u to 17u in 30 years are Yogi Ferrell and Kyle Guy, and Logan Imes now. … It takes a little toughness to play up an age group where you don’t get bullied, and he’s a tough kid.” https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-class-of-2023-names-to-know-in-state-guard-logan-imes/?fbclid=IwAR2TJpgya8-En54evhuAjj8I2_ZCAG4_ur6CF42F8B3o13u0cQObntJj7Bw

  23. Jon Rothstein - Purdue's Mason Gillis will not play in the Boilers' first four regular season games, per Matt Painter. Gillis will also not play in the team's exhibition game or its scrimmage vs. Providence. Gillis was recently sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to a count of OWI.
