One game from early in the season on NFHS. For someone who has just been in the U.S. for 3-years, I thought she played well. She actually jumps for rebounds unlike some of the other tall girls I've watched this year and she has good hands. Caught passes cleanly and didn't bobble the ball and lose control on rebounds. Active on defense and had lots of deflections (Tom Crean is smiling). Just one game but those are some things I noticed.

I fear the team may be mentally broken and hosting the Wolverines (17-3) (8-1) isn't going to help. Our rebounding has been weak all season and if Z remains out, Michigan's average of 42 rpg with a +11 margin probably won't take a dip. Michigan also forces 24 turnovers/game another unfortunate weakness of our team. Hate to say it but hard not to expect our losing streak to continue. Radio Live Stats

Despite how our women's season is going, we haven't stopped recruiting. And this is not a name out of the blue. She's been on my prospect list for quite some time.

Another ho hum game for Colvin scoring 39 of her team's 68 in a 68-45 win over Post Falls. She put on quite a performance in the 3rd Q scoring 19 of her 39 points, added 3r, 1a, and 3s. In addition to her point total, she had a total of 6r, 4a, 10s, 0b, 3t. She was 4-12 on 3s in this game right at her season average of 33% but I still think she move in a step or two. Her 3-point attempts are taken well-beyond the college line.

I had hopes we could steal a win today but when the news broke that Z was out all my hopes were dashed. Any word on if it's a 1-game absence or if she'll miss multiple games?
