  1. Roster update from The Daily Hoosier https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-football-position-by-position-look-at-anticipated-2026-roster-changes/?fbclid=IwY2xjawPge_RleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEeTqO8lElcEAZ-s0Zgtsythsam_5fRZtK8Frv3kJEOIgpd3fuUsHI8OA2xpl8_aem_hef1NCVqGf_zw6AwArVhQQ
  2. An abbreviated statement from IU on tomorrow's celebration. "By keeping the celebration at the stadium rather than moving it indoors, we aim to minimize the total time attendees are exposed to the elements. If the event was moved to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, we anticipate fans would spend multiple hours standing in lines to secure entry. In light of the cold temperatures, fans are encouraged to dress warmly and remain in their vehicles until close to the 1 p.m. start time. Should the weather forecast dramatically worsen, we will provide further updates as necessary." Rightly or wrongly, it is a valid point about people standing in line outside for access to SSAH.
  3. I've been maintaining radio silence in the game threads and will probably continue to do so. Despite what the score was at the half, it just seemed inevitable that we'd collapse in the 3rd Q. Frustrating as a fan and I can't begin to imagine how the team must be feeling. Sunday's game may be played in front of a crowd of 10 if the weekend weather forecast materializes. If the women are going to break their losing streak, this is the game to do it. PUke (10-9) (2-6) averages 71 ppg with a +4 scoring margin shooting 45% FG and 36% on 3s. They average 37 rpg with a +6 margin. Those are their season averages; conference stats are 41% FG and 34% on 3s and 33 rpg with a -2 margin. They can be careless with the ball averaging 19 TO's/game. Balanced scoring in conference play with 3 in double figures and a fourth at 9.5. Tara Daye their leading rebounder at 7.5. Madison Layden-Zay is a 44% 3-point shooter. This game is worth .5 in the Governor's Cup competition which is currently tied at 2.5. Radio Live Stats
  4. Not sure if there's any genuine IU interest or not but his name has been mentioned once or twice in '28 recruiting news. 2028 – 6’10 C Trey Hillerich of Louisville Male (KY) has suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season, per his family. Averaging 10.2 points, and 7.4 rebounds. Hillerich is one of the top 2028 prospects in Kentucky.
  5. In another "nail biter" Centennial 91-30 win over King on Wednesday night. 33-9 lead after 1st Q and Bean already had 16p, 3r, 2s. Running clock entire second half thankfully. For the game: 33p, 7r, 5a, 1s, 0b, 0t Once again she was at least 6" taller than anyone on the opposing team and rarely actually had to jump. Team only had 7 players in uniform so she played into the 4th Q but really made little effort to actually be involved in the flow of the game. Centennial now 11-3 on the season and hard to imagine how they lost 3 games because it's a very good team and not solely dependent on Bean's performance. King's record now 19-7 and they got beat by 61 pts.!
  6. Fernando is a natural in front of a microphone. So articulate and personable. And Fallon's record tosses left a lot to be desired in not getting many of them actually up in the air.
  7. 247 updated the '26 class. Vaughan Karvala 50 Prince-Alexander Moody 78 Sizeable jump for Moody who had been in the 120's.
  8. Indiana freshman WR Bruno Massel has entered the portal, his rep tells @chris_hummer and@mzenitz . The 5-foot-11, 195-pound WR has 4 years of remaining eligibility.
  9. Osterman - Omar Cooper says his NFL decision should come soon: “I’ve still got to talk with my parents and my agent, and I still have a lot of praying to do about it. An announcement will be coming really soon.”
  10. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/it-is-different-legendary-radio-voice-don-fischer-reveled-in-indiana-footballs-championship/
  11. Trilly Donovan - Marshall just hit 26 threes against Louisiana Monroe. It’s the most threes in a game against a Division I opponent in the last two decades. The men’s record for threes in a game vs. a Division I opponent is 28, held by Troy.
  12. Henceforth it shall be known as Heismandoza Fountain
  13. Multiple reports - D’Angelo Ponds confirms his plan is to declare for the NFL Draft. He’s accepted a Senior Bowl invite.
  14. Watch Fisch in the booth for the final play. He kept his composure but looks like he was close to breaking a couple of time but kept it together.
  15. So heartfelt and genuine. No false modesty or bravado. For me, winning a football national championship and going undefeated in the process is a definite bucket list moment.
  16. Maybe @Stuhoo was working with numbers that weren't in standard base 10 format. Or maybe he was cryptically using the atomic numbers of elements. Or maybe he was just plain loco. lol
  17. I'm pretty certain it is. At least, it's not a typo on my part.
  18. Mars Hill (19-3) 78-49 over Phil Campbell (13-13). 29p, 5r, 9a, 6s, 1b, 1t played less than 22 min. Listed at 6'1" and is team's primary ballhandler and can handle the ball with either hand. Very mobile and made the effort to let others score when she could just as easily have taken the shot herself. I mentioned talent disparity in Sydney Savoury's thread. Some scores of previous Mars Hill games: 78-17 over Sheffield 67-24 over Colbert Heights 68-21 over Phil Campbell (December game) 71-29 over Sulligent
  19. Belleville (10-0) with an 87-24 romp over Dearborn (3-7). Interesting these teams in Michigan have played just 9 games and in Indiana we're having girls sectional drawings this coming Sunday. Again in this game Savoury was clearly the best player on the court. Plays under control and rarely makes wild drives to the basket ending with flings in the general direction of the rim. 24p, 4r, 2a, 3s, 0b, 0t in less than 18 min. on the floor. It was 52-10 at the half and she played less than 4 min. into the 3rd Q. Running clock the entire 2nd half and the refs basically just put their whistles in their pockets and started making dinner reservations on their cell phones. The disparity in the talent level of high school girls basketball really shows up when you look at scores of previous games. As an example, some of Belleville's previous 10 wins: 78-37 over Berea-Midpark 103-3 over Glenn 76-33 over Mumford 80-20 over Franklin 93-18 over Fordson Their narrowest winning margin has been 12 points.
  20. Tamar Bates @tbates_11 Nothing but pure joy in my heart for @IndianaFootball!! Congrats to the University, Players, and @CCignetti Wonderful gesture on Tamar's part.
  21. Would be nice to think we could be a serious player in this recruitment. She finally had a game I could watch an, 86-22 rout over Corona with her stats immediately above. Have to take the stats with a grain of salt because at 6'7" she had at least 6" over anyone on the Corona team. It was 56-17 at halftime and the entire second half played under a running clock. Almost felt like her coach was just letting her pad stats because she played the entire 3rd Q and 5 min. into the 4th before checking out. Granted it was a running clock, but this game was over at the end of the 1st Q when it was 33-9. Other than when the ball went out of bounds, the officiating crew blew their whistles a collective total of 3 times in the entire second half!! As for Bean as she is called, she is very skilled going coast-to-coast a couple of times, made 2-3 3's, and showed good agility for someone that tall and just a sophomore. Not surprising that she's the #2 ranked player in the '28 class
