  1. DME Academy (FL) 59 Life Prep (KS) 39 GiGi Battle 12p 8r 3a
  2. Rainier Beach features #1 ranked Ty Stokes and he put on quite a performance. Surprised one of his own teammates doesn't punch his lights out for how he talks to them when something doesn't go his way. Game went into OT. Qayden Samuels still out with an injury for McNamara and they sorely miss his scoring.
  3. Christ School (16-4) 78-48 over Centerville (OH) (9-5) Gabe Cupps' alma mater. Manhertz played around 25 min. - 7p, 4r, 6a, 2s, 2b, 0t on my scorecard. CS held a 35-26 halftime lead but just took Centerville apart in the 2nd half with pressure defense and repeated fast break layups off defensive rebounds.
  4. Are we having fun yet? Yeah, didn't think so. This game has the potential to be the equivalent of the North vs the South at Gettysburg and we're going to be Pickett's Charge getting mowed down by the Wolverines (16-1) (6-1). I'm not going to bother posting stats for Michigan because it will be too depressing and I'd much prefer to keep my mind focused on our undefeated national championship football team. 8. Curt Cigntti: “I think there’s a lot of pro-Indiana hype, a lot of rat poison… I did see Holly Rowe’s social media piece... there has been a lot of sentimentalism ... it’s time to throw that out … You don’t go to war with warm milk and cookies.”

  11. Gardner still out. Broke his hand right before Christmas.
  12. Ryan W. Collingwood @rwcollingwood What a Bass Pro Tournament of Champions for Logan-Rogersville's Chase Branham 3-point contest winner Averaged 24.6 points, beat No. 8 Wheeler (Ga.) and gave top-ranked Paul VI and California power St. John Bosco all they could handle.
  13. TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS: Rogersville's come from behind effort in the fifth place game falls short as St. John Bosco stays in front, 58-53. Chase Branham recorded a team-high 21 points and finishes the tournament with 74 points through three days.
  14. Yesterday his team lost to Ft. Erie. 9p, 7a, 5s Academy of Central Florida (FL) 84 Royal Crown (ON, CAN) 68. Martay Barnes 16p 2r 4a 7s
  15. Mars Hill (17-3) 57-38 over Madison Academy (10-9). Listed now at 6'1" on MaxPreps. Very good ballhandler and she is the one that brings the ball up the court in every instance unless they have a breakaway. Right hand dominant but can dribble with either hand. However, every drive down the lane was on the right side and only once did she make a spin move to her left. Also jumps for rebounds and doesn't just reach for them. 18p; 12r, 6a, 2s, 6b, 2t. She drew 6 fouls.
  16. The Charmins (Don't Squeeze Too Hard) 67 Will not be suitable for impressionable children 91
  17. Lee Beebe has reportedly said he'll be back at IU and ready for fall camp.
  18. Would be nice to think we could actually be a player in his recruitment. Sunnyslope (18-1) over Corona del Sol (5-17) 76-40. Wabbington played 21 min. and sat out the entire 4th Q. 11p, 6r, 2a, 0s, 5b, 1t.
  19. First time watching '29 Kristen Winston and it will be interesting to see if we ever seriously recruit her. IMO good ball handler and court vision. Hoover HS is 21-1 on the season and plays some really good team defense for a high school girl's team. They defeated (13-10) Hewitt-Trussellville 77-18 and they didn't start a running clock until the 4th Q. I mean, it was 42-6 at the half and they couldn't start a running clock until the 4th? Winston played 21 min. 12p, 3r, 5a, 3s, 1b, 1t.
  20. I'm not watching just listening to Fisch. Some Iowa player made a 3 and he said you just can't let any of the Iowa players shoot 3s. I thought that was supposed to be our mantra this year.
  21. Westside (14-1) defeated Fountain Inn (10-8) 67-38 and Hartwell looked like a different player. Probably one of the few games she's faced an opponent of similar height and physical size and she more than held her own. MaxPreps says she's 6'5" and 175 lbs. Her opponent was every bit as tall and outweighed Hartwell. She demonstrated spin moves both to her right and her left as well as a couple of 10-12' jump shots. Just don't throw her any low passes. Today's game: 19p, 4r, 2a, 0s, 2s, 2t in 20 min. of play. 7-9 FG, 5-8 FT.
