  1. Gather intelligence at pUKe!  Ye must be trying out for Court Jester.
  2. Is it time to assemble the Hoosier Knights of the Round Ball?  Have the galleons yet set sail on the Jordan River should the enemy attempt to breach our fortifications by water?
  3. 4 commitments for 2016-2017 signed NLOI today - Alex McCarthy report.  The 4th recruit must be in the witness protection program as Alex failed to mention her by name.     The Indiana women's basketball program inked four new members Wednesday, the program announced. Three are out of high school and one is a junior college addition. With information from IU Athletics, we've compiled the following tidbits about each signee. Darby Foresman Height: 6-foot-3 Position: Forward School: Indianapolis Heritage Christian Key statistics: Averaged 8.4 points and six rebounds as a junior, and 11.3 points and 5.5 rebounds as a sophomore. Heritage Christian won the state title both seasons. ESPN and ProspectsNation both list her as a 4-star prospect. ProspectsNation has her ranked as the No. 9 post prospect, and ESPN has her at No. 11 at her position in the class. Teri Moren's thoughts: "It is always a priority for us to look for the best players in Indiana. We got one of the most complete players with Darby. She gives us great size with a lot of versatility. She has the ability to score with her back to the basket, while also being able to shoot from the perimeter and drive to the basket. Darby's greatest assets are her defense and rebounding. This summer, she guarded some of the best players in the country, both perimeter and post players." Ria Gulley Height: 5-foot-9 Position: Guard School: San Antonio (Texas) Tom C. Clark High Key statistics: Averaged 11.5 points and 3.4 assists per game as a junior while shooting 49 percent from the floor. Gulley is rated as a 3.5-star prospect in the 2016 class by JumpOffPlus and a 3-star player by both ESPN and ProspectsNation. Teri Moren's thoughts: "Ria is one of the most underrated players in the country. Her combination of quickness and shooting ability give her the potential to be one of the best guards in the Big Ten. Ria has a really good change of pace that allows her to get to the rim. She also has 3-point range, which makes her very difficult to guard. Ria has the ability to be a great perimeter defender who can guard multiple positions." Bre Wickware Height: 6-foot-1 Position: Wing/forward School: Denton (Texas) Guyer Key statistics: Averaged 15.7 points and 10.2 rebounds per game as a junior, and has been named to the All-District Team all three years of her career. Wickware is rated a 3.5-star prospect by ProspectsNation and a 3-star recruit by both ESPN and JumpOffPlus. Teri Moren's thoughts: "Bre has played with and against the best players in the country. Her experience with the DFW program will allow her to come in and compete for playing time right away. Bre has exceptional length. She is one of the toughest and most competitive players that we saw all summer. Bre has the ability to play on the perimeter or in the post. She is continuing to develop her range which will make her a very good wing player for us."     Height: 6-foot Position: Forward School: Crowley (Texas) Hill College Key statistics: At her first season at Hill, averaged 8.8 points and 5.9 rebounds per game while shooting 55 percent. She played in 22 games as the team reached the semifinals of the Region V Tournament. Teri Moren's thoughts: "Bailey brings us experience to the forward position. She is a hard-nosed competitive player. She has a lot of the intangibles that we stress in our program, such as her ability to talk on the floor and her toughness. Bailey has demonstrated the desire to be a great defensive player at every level she has played. She wants the role of guarding the other team's best player."
  4. If it is, then he should be resting it more than what he has in the exhibition games.  We need him to be 100% once the B1G starts and not nursing a knee issue all season long.
  5.   Well 'dagnabit', you people have to do a better job with your commentary so I don't jump to the wrong convulsions!   I'm kidding.  Everyone's efforts are most appreciated by all of us here at the home.
  6. Just from following all the commentary it sounds like towards the end of the first half and for most of the second half we've played like a clone of last year's team.  Is that a fair assessment?
  7. JBJ still not fully recovered from his knee surgery?
  8. Besides everyone hoisting up 3's any other negatives or concerns from our 1st half performance?
  9. Really appreciate everyone's updates.   Crowd size?   What's the early grade on our defensive effort?
  10.   I'm old and getting older every day.  Can we get one of your upset predictions to come true before I start doing the dirt dance?
  11. I believe it's you that often talks of what's our Plan B, and the fact that new names aren't suddenly starting to appear hopefully indicates we don't need a Plan B.
  12. A huge rout but it gives everyone good minutes.  Final score   98 - 33.
  13. New rule this season more in line with the international game.  Look for the men to move to quarters within 2 years.
  14. Ladies showing absolutely no mercy leading 53 - 19 at the half.  They ended the half on a 27 -3 run !!
  15. Wolverine Brand Salve   49   It's Indiana Football   17
  16. Certainly Suds choice of words could have been a lot better.  But let's be honest.  Even with our winning start to the season how many of us were waiting for the wheels to fall off?  I've witnessed it more years than many of you and it's not fun whatsoever to start the season with optimism only to have a bucket of ice water thrown in your face once B1G starts.  Sadly, it is Indiana football and it has been for 50+ years with just a few exceptions.
  17. Well, the fat lady ain't singin' yet, but after that drive and score she's starting to clear her throat.  That TD really hurts.
  18. For a little lighthearted reading I visited Hammer and Rails.  The comments on that site about PUke's team and coach make our group sound like members of a church choir.  No holds barred or language banned and some of it is really bad.  I'm no prude but there is a common sense line for civility.
  19.   And he expresses his appreciation by trailing Illinois at halftime 27 - 7 at home no less.
  20. IMO no startling revelations.  His answers to questions were what I would expect.  He's aware of the unrest but still sees himself as fully in charge which is what he has to portray to have any possible success on the high profile recruiting trail.  I agree with Martin's assessment that barring a total collapse of the program either on-the-court or off-the-court, he's still here at least 2 more years.
  21.   Guilty of straying off topic, but I found an article in the Ottumwa, IA newspaper about the game and despite the score, there was no mention whatsoever of Holt in the article but there was no box score so can't tell if he played or didn't.
  22. Hated essay exams.  I struggled to fill a couple of pages and then there were the smart alecks going up and getting a 2nd or even 3rd blue book.  Surely they were only writing a sentence or two on each page weren't they?
