  1. Hova correct; my initial link was apparently 2014-2015. The following is a link to his 2015-2016 stat line. 14 ppg and 8.4 rbg. started 28 of 31 games. Also only committed 71 total fouls. http://goneosho.com/cumestats.aspx?path=mbball&
  2. Not sure we need another 3 point shooter but his FT% definitely needs work. The one thing that pure stats don't tell us is how good of a defender a player is. I thought 222 rebounds for 415 minutes of action wasn't a bad number. And roughly 35% of his rebounds were on the offensive glass.
  3. Creaned, Beliened, Izzoed, Matt'd -- is there no end? Although at PUke, they probably refer to it as PAINTer remover.
  4. Major stuff happenin' at OSU.
  5. Seeing multiple tweets that we have offered 2016 Neosho County CC (KS) F Freddie McSwain. Stats available at: http://www.njcaa.org/sports/mbkb/2014-15/div1/players/freddiemcswain0g8t
  6. This whole world of football "commitments" these high school kids make today are nothing more than an updated version of 'yes, I'll still love you in the morning' of 'it'll help clear my acne'. When the kid shows up on campus ready for practice or the classroom, then I'll consider him committed.
  7. He's a guard. Reinhardt is the third USC basketball player to transfer in the last week, joining forwards Malik Martin and Darion Clark. But Reinhardt’s comes as the biggest surprise. He started 18 games last season — more than half of USC’s season. Guard Elijah Stewart, who also started 18 games, was more often in the starting lineup late in the season, but Reinhardt logged similar minutes in the sixth-man role. He averaged 11.4 points per game. Reinhardt’s departure could be a reaction to USC’s crowded backcourt. Shaqquan Aaron, a transfer from Louisville, is expected to play a significant role next season. USC will also add talented guard recruits Jonah Mathews and De'Anthony Melton, who each could make an impact early. USC also returns Stewart and starting point guards Jordan McLaughlin and Julian Jacobs. Reinhardt played his freshman season at Nevada Las Vegas before transferring to USC. In part, he said, he felt like he fit better in USC Coach Andy Enfield's offense. If Reinhardt graduates, he will be eligible to play his senior season immediately.
  8. I also think Hutch was absolutely spot on. My concern is whether or not JBJ is going to be the same player after a 3rd knee surgery. I fully expect him back as a starter at the start of the season but wonder if he'll still be starting at the end of the season. Otherwise, I agree with Jaybob's starting 5.
  9. For the benefit of many of us who skipped Latin: In medicine, an avulsion is an injury in which a body structure is forcibly detached from its normal point of insertion by either trauma or surgery (from the Latin avellere, meaning "to tear off").
  10. Just tweeted by Rabjohns - Green has been selected for Jordan Brand Regional Game in Brooklyn. Story: http://rvls.co/1RCv4jM
  11. OK, so it's not that impressive of a statistic. LOL
  12. Devonte was named the 2016 All-Long Island Boys Basketball Player of the Year. He's listed at 6'2" and 165 lbs. so he'll need to add some weight and muscle. The brief bio also has the following: "At the start of his lengthy high school career, he was known as Danny Green’s little brother. But when it was over, he was simply known as Devonte. Green averaged 20.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.7 steals per game for Long Island’s best team. He finishes his career with 2,683 points, fourth in New York State history." Now that's an impressive statistic. Anyone interested in his game by game stats for his senior season, they're available at: http://scores.newsday.com/sports/highschool/player.php?id=197259
  13. Bone chips that have to be cleaned out?
  14. Pretty hard to find words of thanks and appreciation that haven't already been expressed by others. Unbelievable career in candystripes and capping it off with putting his name in the IU record books multiple times. I hope I can live long enough to witness the next point guard whose 4-year career comes close to that of Yogi. Best Wishes to the entire Ferrell family.
  15. To a degree, any woman who marries a man with head coaching aspirations does so with her eyes open that criticism of her husband is inevitable and often very crude and brutal. Unfortunately, it shouldn't end up being directed at their children but that's simply not the way today's society acts. I've not been a CTC supporter, but comments and actions that have been directed at his kids are disgusting.
  16. One drawback I see is that parity will disappear and basketball/football in particular will become much like women's basketball with a few really elite teams and then everyone else. Coaches won't be recruiting players as much as they'll be recruiting checkbooks. Sadly, there's already too much of this going on in college sports.
  17. But masseuse parlor makes for a much more entertaining story and mental images of what went on! :-D
  18. Depending upon how well JBJ and Newkirk recover from their surgeries, Cujo and Green may get more playing time than most of us expect. And yes, I see Niego becoming more of an afterthought unless there's an Oladipo like transformation in his game.
  19. At least when we got beat by Boohime's Bums, it wasn't because of a collapse like Virginia's but even that doesn't make me feel any better about our loss.
  20. Not seeing a lot of positives re: Pitt hiring Kevin Stallings. One of the funnier tweets jordan cornette ‏@jordancornette 7h7 hours ago I've seen Easter egg hunts with toddlers go better than the hunt for PITT new coach.
  21. Oscar and Felix need to move out of the way; Crean and Cal are the real Odd Couple!
  22. Mark my words, whatever penalty is imposed, this year's team will miraculously be spared especially if they end of winning it all.
  23. One time IU target Stephen Zimmerman (UNLV) to enter draft per Yahoo Sports. Seven-foot UNLV freshman Stephen Zimmerman plans to enter the 2016 NBA draft, league sources told The Vertical. Zimmerman, 19, plans to sign with an agent and eliminate the opportunity to withdraw and return to college basketball before the NCAA's May 25 deadline, sources said. A formal announcement is expected early this week. Jonathan Givony, the Vertical’s draft insider, has Zimmerman at No. 26 in his most recent mock draft. NBA executives told The Vertical that Zimmerman, mobile, skilled and a good shot-blocker, has the potential to move into the top half of the draft with some strong performances in pre-draft workouts. Zimmerman averaged 10.5 points and 8.7 rebounds for the Runnin’ Rebels, who failed to reach the postseason.
