This is some of the ugliest basketball I’ve seen since the Archie days. Did Woodson find Archie’s schemes somewhere in his office?

I know it’s only the second game. But this Woodson offense is looking dated. UGLY start.

Extend Tom Allen?

Couldn’t watch the second half, but not to surprising of a final score considering the first half let alone the first game. Hopefully Woodson figures out the offense. I have an idea but it might be a bit too early if a suggestion. Need to see more of Malik.

First game, offense will ideally come along. I’ve pointed out my concerns with the perimeter shooting but it’s way too early to start panicking.

The good news is that Assembly Hall still looks great on TV. The bad news is the basketball being played is ugly.

I’ll be able to watch this game tonight shockingly. So if we lose, you know who to blame ;)

Is it time to start having the Tom Allen extension talks?

Wow. A legend, he was Indiana basketball. A very sad day. I hope Woodson got to see him before he left us.

Did someone call my name give my thoughts yet? ;) Nonetheless this game is meaningless. D1’s lose to D2’s every pre season.

Long as no injuries occur then it’s a win. Need the bench to get some minutes, specifically Gabe. Would be nice to see Ware have a standout performance but again no injuries is a win.

Losing TJD is a huge blow on both sides of the basketball. Relying on true freshmen to contribute each night isn’t always fun but we will see what happens with McKenzie and Gabe. My biggest concerns are the following. - 3PT Shooting - Rebounding - Interior Defense The perimeter defense will be fine I believe with Johnson and Galloway. McKenzie and Malik will need to be able to guard the longer guys in the league. Ware will of course need to be a factor. Is Ware going to have a big year on defense? His offense will be interesting to follow. Who will be the factors off the bench? Walker could be provide some defense off the bench. Will Bank and Gunn be able to provide something this year? Lots of questions. Could Peyton provide something? Ceiling - 2nd Round of NCAA Floor - NIT I think last years team beats this years team in a best of 5 series.

Can anyone confirm if the new OC got a 3 year deal? I know he’s highly paid now but a 3 year deal lining up with Tom’s contract I assume? There goes more money Dolson needs to find.

I’m mostly in the football section and basketball recruiting section if you look at my previous posts. It’s not exactly basketball season so no reason to post in this sub section when nothing is going on.

Well being around a top program in the country I can assure you there are rules, standards, and direct communication to the players to NOT put yourself in a position to fail on the biggest weekend of the year on campus. Not to mention when you’re hosting various recruits this weekend with their parents present. Not exactly a great look when the coaching staff is saying goodbye to parents and players today when a player was just arrested a few hours ago. But I understand Indiana Basketball isn’t exactly Elite anymore so maybe so expectations aren’t there anymore ;) Are these serious offenses? No. But nonetheless it’s not a good look for a program trying to rebuild to be a household name. I don’t know Woodson’s expectations but I personally thought it would be a tighter ship after Xavier and Parker decided to impress all the girls on Walnut Street. Kids make silly mistakes, but seeing a program with arrests recently makes me raise some eyebrows no matter what the offense are. Just my opinion however.

Not a great look to the program. While it could be way worse, it’s the second arrest under Woodson’s leadership. The athletic department is already looking like a joke with what’s occurring at Memorial Stadium. Woodson needs to get his program under control. This type of situation is controllable.

I heard the stadium was pretty empty yesterday for a homecoming game. Indiana likely isn’t winning another game this season. If Dolson can’t buy him out or if Tom doesn’t walk, the season ticket buyers will be down to its lowest in history. I mean they were selling season tickets for like $70 bucks at Costco before the season started this year! Nonetheless, I think this is Tom’s last dance. He’s walking away or Dolson will pull the plug.

I forgot Parker wasn’t arrested with Xavier while they took a stroll down Walnut.

That’s 3 players arrested while Woodson has been a head coach.. right?
