Could be. It may just be he’s more vital on the bench. Every bench is different, especially when Indiana has 5+ support staff members.

For an NBA coach coming in and working on player development, I’m not seeing the results from that. Especially from TJD, he’s stuck in 2009, as is the head coach.

We all know where I stood on the Woodson hire. Losing two starters to injuries is going to hurt, no matter what team you are. That being said, I thought the team could still beat Iowa and Northwestern. Basketball is weird, anyone can win on any night. But I have some issues so far with Woodson.. - Player Development - Offense I think he means good on defense, I don’t think the boys are performing the scout well, that’s not on Woodson. But the offense is very hard to watch, not much different than Archie’s basketball. I’m still waiting for TJD to shoot some outside shots like he suggested he would in the summer. Player development has been.. disappointing. I was hoping to see a more versatile TJD. Jordan doesn’t look much improved at all, Race has been up and down, mostly down. I do love Trey’s new jumper, but I haven’t been impressed in the player development. I never bought into the pre season hype of this team, there were too many variables that were unproven. I think it’s a potential NCAA team but the Big Ten will decide that.

Indiana Football will be lucky to get 3 wins next year. Indiana Basketball is looking at 14-17 wins next year. Not ideal at all.

Down two starters for a long duration. The season might be over unless a miracle occurs from the role players / freshmen.

NBA zone is different than college zone. You see a lot more Zone in the NBA than what you may think. That being said, Woodson hasn’t been a head coach since 2013. There’s a big difference between ASST NBA Coach and College head coach.

The offense makes me want to claw my eyes out. This can’t be the style of play in 2023 for recruits eyeing Indiana.

I’ve been critical on the Woodson hire from the day the search began, it’s never made sense to me. I don’t know if it’s exactly a coaching problem quite yet.. however there’s enough talent on this team to at the very least make the second weekend of the March. This team doesn’t look very promising as some thought, it looks right on par with what I expected. But there’s still plenty of basketball left and time for this team to improve. I will say this, Indiana won’t be elite again until there’s enough talent to play modern basketball. Indiana isn’t playing modern basketball, which is concerning coming from a head coach who has been in the NBA only..

Haven’t watched the game yet. But before the season I said I wanted to hold off judging this team until after Kansas. This team was overrated from the jump. Relying on two freshmen to take a program to another level is foolish, see Kentucky. TJD mentioned multiple times in the off season he would start stretching the floor, I haven’t seen it this season. When you have a post player from 2005 playing in 2022, it’s not going to be pretty. He’s this generation version of Tyler Hansbourogh (sp) A lot of basketball left, but I’m not buying this team to be the B1G winner let alone a second weekend appearance in March. It’s a good team, not a great team.

Need a win tomorrow against a team with high confidence after their huge win vs Creighton. If Indiana loses tomorrow, things could turn down hill vs Arizona and Kansas coming up. We’ll find out what this team is made up prior to the Big Ten these next couple weeks.

I think we are slightly overrated. We added two freshmen basically and that’s it from last season. It’s hopes and prayers that college kids can develop a jumper in the off-season. It can be done, but it’s not likely. You can’t rely on freshmen to save the season, it clearly hasn’t worked out for Kentucky. This team has depth indeed, but when things are bad, they are BAD.
