If we’ve been paying for the talent we’ve been getting, I demand a refund.

Am I the only one that doesn't think Davis' impact will be that great next year? He'll certainly play when we have games against teams with a really big 5 (think Haas this year, Nic Ward, etc.), but I think Archie prefers length and athleticism, and Davis certainly doesn't bring that.
I'm not trying to criticize someone that's injured, but I think Archie has found something with the mismatches Morgan creates at the 5, and I think his defense works much better with a 5 that's athletic enough to hedge on ball screens and recover. I'm not saying he won't play, but I just don't think he's a great fit for this system, and having both Davis and Morgan kind of reminds of Yogi's senior year.
Remember when Yogi, Blackmon and even Johnson were sort of "taking turns" as the lead guard and the team really struggled. Once Blackmon went down it was officially "Yogi's team" and he and the team thrived. I think the same can be said for Morgan and Davis having to share post touches early this year. I don't wish injury on anyone, and I wish Davis hadn't gone down, but I think the reality is that it allowed Morgan to "own" the paint and he's thrived in that scenario.

Some of you need to loosen the hell up, this is a FREE forum. I know the majority of us are happy to have everyone who posts info or tidbits here and there. It’s the internet, so take everything with a grain of salt and don’t get mad when something turns out different from what someone says. Some of you take things so damn personally

Possibly because he didn’t have the personnel at Dayton to go 9-10 deep? If we were to get Romeo and this seemingly solid SG (which we desperately need) I could very easily see us going 9-10 deep. He didn’t have the quality of players at Dayton that he is going to be reeling in here. Just because he didn’t use bigger rotations at his previous school doesn’t mean he won’t entertain the idea if he has some depth.

I don't know how anyone can say the balcony at Banker's Life is a worse seat than the balcony at AH. The AH balcony seats, are truly horrid. There isn't really a bad seat at Banker's Life and I've sat in the last row before.

This thread is so pointless at this point I’m gonna stop reading it. Its the same 7 people say the same things over and over again. With very little new information except when he has a game. Don’t get me wrong I want him at IU but I think we all have better things to do then sit here and argue if he’s going to IU or Vandy all day. Come on guys we are better than this

I live about 35 minutes away from there. Yes there is a decent amount of UK fans (yuck) around here but most are the idiots who couldn't name you 3 starters on their team and dont know basketball and only root for them because they are usually winning. The true basketball fans here still love their Hoosiers like no other....except for the small PU groupies.

There are high school gyms in Indiana that would rival Vanderbilt. Lol. I’m not impressed with them at all. Without Darius Garland they wouldn’t have a shot.

He lost me when he said Blackmon was "elite" and the only got worse from there. Its one of those situations when you've dug yourself a hole and just need to stop. Nope, not this guy, he kept on digging and only looked dumber.

Easy, give me a 4 year floor general all day, every day. A good one-and-done SG typically averages 16-20 ppg and draws a little extra attention. A player with Romeo’s height/length will probably exceed the usual rebounding average for his position. Point being, all of those things can be made up amongst the other positions. As we’ve seen, true PG skills are irreplaceable.

Four year true PG in Phinisee. Honestly, even with Romeo next year, this team is still a few years out from being a title contender. We need some pieces to mature and reach their potential as juniors and seniors, and then have some 5* star talent as well to truly have a chance, if you look at some of the trends in the past two decades.

I’m to the point in this thread where I no longer need to read names of posters. I know exactly who writes what. A lot of dead horses in this one.

Oh... I've got proof that Bryce Drew and Vandy are dirty!
"Anchors Aweigh" is the fight song of the United States Naval Academy and march song of the United States Navy. It was composed in 1906 by Charles A. Zimmermann with lyrics by Alfred Hart Miles. (per wiki and numerous addt'l sources) Bing Crosby popularized and included the song in a medley on his album 101 Gang Songs (per Bing Crobsy Disc Anthology) Twice in the past six months, federal prosecutors in Maryland have cited songs in racketeering cases targeting gangs, saying the recordings “promote MS-13 and its activities.” (Washington Post, January 14, 2018) "The Shot" refers to a play by Valparaiso University's Bryce Drew that occurred in the first round of the 1998 NCAA Tournament. The play came in Valpo's game against the University of Mississippi Rebels at The Myriad in Oklahoma City on M(arch) 13, 1998, and gave the #13 seed Crusaders a 70–69 victory over #4 seed Ole Miss. The game was part of a Valparaiso Cinderella run in the tournament that ended in the Sweet Sixteen when the Crusaders lost to Rhode Island. “To any member of MS-13 listening, I have a message for you: We will find you. We will arrest you. We will jail you. We will throw you the hell out of the country,” (Donald Trump's "Tweeterfeeder-o-rama", December 14, 2017) Obvious conclusion? Bryce Drew is a dangerous criminal, and Vandy is likely a front for MS-13.
So there.

Todd Meier, Winston Morgan, Steve Alford, Stew Robinson and Uwe Blab. That starting 5 is most likely better than any player we got. I bring them up because when they weren't playing to their level and not making RMK happy, he benched them. Didnt start them against Iowa. It showed a message. Lit a fire under their a$$ and let them know that just because you are upperclassmen or a big recruit, doesn't mean you are "entitled" to start or play more. I wish CTC would have done this with his teams a couple times but never did. Start next game with McBob, Priller, Jager, etc. Even if they only play for 30 seconds or 30 minutes, it gets a point across to this team that you EARN your time on the court, you aren't entitled to anything. And maybe, just maybe, lights a fire in this team.

I am a huge Georgia Bulldog football fan. Mark Richt was a fantastic coach. Went to bowl game every single year he was there. He had top 10 classes last 3-4 years. Kirby walked in with great talent, just needed a little polish. Richt got fired because the norm became he always would lose big games. Georgia football and Kirby hire are night and day and cannot be compared to IU and Archie hire.
**Richt was hired by Miami and was one win away from playoff also.
