So, here's an odd story that has nothing to do with anything, but I thought I'd post here. My dog (she's a big IU fan -- pictured below) and I were on our usual daily walk at our favorite park when an unleashed dog ran up to us. He was friendly, and after exchanging a couple sniffs with my dog, kept following us as we made our way along the trail. Later on, I could see and barely hear (I had my iPod on) someone across the small lake calling him. He wouldn't go, and instead kept following me and my dog (I think he was attracted to her!). Anyway, he stuck by us and wouldn't go back to his owner. So I finally turned around and started back around the lake toward his owners. Luckily, he followed and pretty soon, ran up to his humans and got his leash back on. His name? Romeo!

At the announcement his voice sounded emotional when he said Indiana University and he wiped his eye. That sounds like someone who is pretty proud to be a Hoosier. We are going to love having this young man.
 

Could Durham or Moore switch numbers to let him have one of his his. I know in like the NFL and NBA, players have given up their numbers so other players could keep theirs if they come to a new team. Not saying they should or would or if Romeo would even ask, but is that stuff allowed in NCAA.

As an educator, this was the reason I wanted Romeo at IU. Look at this picture... in the most important moment of his 18 year old life, he takes time out of it to recognize a young fan (with his custom made jersey on it) to smile and give him a high five and a hand shake. It wasn't like the kid was on stage either... Romeo walked 10ft or so to get to the kid. Awesome. His character is his best attribute. Mr. Langford, enjoy your time in Bloomington.. you already have a huge fan in me.

Indiana Basketball can only be special with *literally* millions of people who passionately care about a ball being thrown through a ring. So much that we speculate whether or not an 18 year old’s prom shoes are hinting at where he’s furthering his education.

Thanks again. No one circles the wagons like the Indiana Hoosiers!

They’ve said all there is to say: Romeo is coming to Indiana.

Take your pins and needles, pick up Bailey and the kids, and go play Gossip Girl in the other sandbox. This is a drama free zone now my friend.

I think on Monday that Romeo will proudly announce that it was Colonel Mustard with the candlestick in the conservatory.

Just looking forward to this finally ending so we can move on to the 10,000 "is there a chance he will stay more than one year" posts. :)

Great news. My boss agreed with me that Romeo's announcement was way to important to miss, so I will be there. Day has been made.
