  1. Is this thing going to be on TV/live streamed?
  2. He's better than Christian Hackenberg.
  3. He's a steal and is going to make a great nickel CB.
  4. But Yeah Yeah runs like a duck...
  5. These players should be going to the basket, working through Sabonis on the post, and finding Bogdonavic for 3. They've done none of this.
  6. Vic's lack of a reliable jump shot really makes me doubt his ability to be a winning team's number one at this point in his career.
  7. USA Today ripped MSU a new one yesterday. Story.
  8. If Tom Crean or Mike Davis was our coach I'd feel the same way.
  9. I know. Just making a point.
  10. Yes the G-League now offers a salary that allows them to compete with professional NBA 2K leagues for athletes. Both pay $35k/year.
  11. Four of the last five playoff appearances for the Pacers have ended to a Lebron led team. Would be nice to finally get over the hump. Sunday's game is huge.
  12. Didn't see a KU or Vandy logo in the background of the Cavs-Pacers game tonight...
  13. Favorable setup for next season. We caught a break with the single-game home schedule.
  14. Alford was simply Crean without the burned bridges to Indiana HS coaches. It would have been a terrible hire.
  15. I'd take a four-year 3/4* PG over a 5* OAD PG every time. Winning big requires upperclassmen guards, just about every time.
  16. Does anyone know if Comcast will still offer it as part of a premium sports package in non-footprint states, or is it completely unavailable?
  17. Is this official? From what I read they're dropping it completely in May, and immediately for non--B1G states.
  18. Pretty big blow to the Big Ten's revenue model. Comcast is the biggest cable provider in the country with over 22 million customers. (EDIT) This will apply to customers outside of the Big Ten footprint. Link
  19. No fan base of a major college athletic program should be casting stones when it comes to this topic. IU has had their share of dirty diaper dandies over the years.
  20. Yep. If Cody doesn't come that 11-12 team wins maybe 17 games maximum and we're onto another coach again.
  21. 1. Michigan State is beyond an embarrassment at this point. They're abhorrent. 2. Izzo needs to be gone. He should have stepped down/been removed back when this first broke, but it’s an established pattern at this point. Even if the farthest-wing conspiracy theorist thinks he had no knowledge/took the appropriate steps, this kind of stuff does not just keep happening at the same program. They need a change. 3. Judging by a lot of their fans coming to the defense of the MSU program yet again, this should be another reminder of keeping perspective when it comes to self-identity and your favorite teams. Whether its MSU, Penn State, UNC, Louisville, or just about any other program, every fan base dealing with accusations "knows the facts" and the rest of the country simply reads the headlines. Everything is a witch hunt from some biased media that only favors UNC and Alabama, who are both “untouchable” by the NCAA (despite major punishments levied at both schools within the last two decades). As much as I would like to think IU fans would be able to keep their priorities straight if something major were to ever happen at our school, the sample sizes across the country point to blind defense as the norm, especially if it happened under an established coach.
  22. Another MSU rape allegation breaking today. Link
  23. It's a line that doesn't need to be crossed to be successful. You need a steady stream of 4* players, quality upperclassmen guards, and some blue chips sprinkled in. We're getting those 4* players right now. Archie's putting together a solid core to build around. Why do you want to be like UNC, MSU, and Louisville? They're three of the most despicable programs in the country. They also have not won with top one-and-done players. The steady stream of 5* players has not worked out for Kentucky like it should have, and if it wasn't for the NBA lockout encouraging some of their players to return for a second year, they probably wouldn't have won it in 2012. Even UK fans are starting to admit that after another loaded team bounced early in the NCAAT. Assuming Duke is now cheating to get these players, Coach K has a 30 year resume behind him to evade scrutinity. If Archie tried that right now he'd be looking like his brother if caught. When IU has had momentum going for the program we've beat out these programs for some top recruits. And that was with Tom Crean of all people as HC. Consistently improving each season will close the recruiting gap between us and the top programs right now without having to cheat, and we're already starting to get those foundational pieces on campus.
  24. We'd be hurting ourselves and putting our program in danger. Have you not been paying attention to what's been happening the last year? It's not worth it. Most of these teams that cheat aren't much better off than those that don't. Archie's recruiting just fine right now without (hopefully) crossing the line. The 5*s will come in time. And when we do get 5* players, I hope that they're in-state kids from good families who have some understanding of IU's tradition and are likely to stay at least two years. The Yogis and the Codys of the world. In special occasions because the kid is just that good, bring in a Gordon or a Langford for a year to compliment a strong core, not be built around. No more Vonlehs who are indifferent to where they play. No Isiah Whiteheads who want something for half their entourage before they sign. And no Marvin Bagleys whose parents can't even be remotely quiet about their influx of cash. And on top of all of this, the current "recruiting game" is on the way out. Why risk your program's reputation to play into a system that isn't going to be around much longer anyway?
