Because outside of Wisconsin and occasionally Iowa, there isn’t a team in the West that would finish better than 5th in the East.

I haven’t followed much IUFB offseason news. What’s the QB situation looking like at this point? Is Ramsey the likely #1 going into the season? Has there been an update on Penix’s knee? How’s Tuttle looked?

I’ve posted twice on IU basketball related topics since April. Very quiet right now.

I absolutely hate this. These aren’t our school colors.

Kelley undergrad is 10th in the country in US News and 4th undergrad in Bloomberg, both of which hold more clout and gravitas than money magazine. The MBA program tends to hover around #20, which is still great considering many top MBA programs do not offer undergrad business majors. The business school is doing fine and still ranked amongst the best of them. IU’s biggest problem with these rankings has little to do with the quality of the education and more to do with having more lax admissions standards than peer institutions, allowing weaker students to both get a chance and run a higher risk of not finishing, at all or within four years, both of which hurt overall rankings.

Too bad. This kid showed promise and could’ve been a contributor in another year or two. Hunter better come back healthy or this class is going to become a bust sans Rob.

Not much was left for Archie “leadership” wise when he came to town. Crean didn’t foster that culture at all outside of the Hulls class. Juwan may have played like it on the court but who knows what the locker room was like. When everyone he came to IU with left early and his coach got fired halfway through his career, it’s understandable if he was looking out for himself. Freshmen aren’t going to take on that role, especially when one is getting all the hype and has one foot out the door the second he came to IU. Devonte and Smith have tended to play for themselves and Davis had injuries to deal with. I expect Rob to become the guy who will set the level of expectations for his teammates going forward. He will be the anchor to establishing Archie’s culture for the program. Sounds like Archie is going to be shaking some things up this offseason, and it’s much needed. He’s been here two years now and the gloves need to come off. You can tell with how he’s acted with the media that he has felt like a guest in Bloomington up until this point, but it’s his team and in a way his town now. He needs to start acting like it and do what needs to get done to right this ship.

It can start with taking down that 1976 best team ever banner that has its own spot in the west end bleachers and getting rid of the 5 stars on the shorts.

Need to see how this offseason plays out. Unrelated, and I know we keep harping on coaches needing time, and yes it’s a different sport, but Tracy Smith is 22-1 this season with ASU baseball. They were awful his first four years.

This team draws these kinds of fouls way too much on handoffs. Needs to change next year.

If we win tonight and go on to the semis in NYC, this will be the longest IU season in 17 years.
