  1. https://www.si.com/college-basketball/2018/09/20/toughest-arenas-places-play-college-hoops Didn’t see this posted, sorry if I missed it. The Phog really is incredible. The only place I’ve been to that is on par with AH when we’re rolling. Rupp is vastly overrated. Expected to be blown away by the experience, but wasn’t. Breslin is good, but, credit where it’s due, Mackey is better.
  2. Also watching Oregon hammering Stanford. Oregon’s skill guys are better than ours, but not miles better. But it’s amazing the stuff you can run on offense when you QB is a future pro instead of a future HS coach,
  3. 2 bad teams playing a bad game. Scott was the only thing that made that even slightly watchable. But 2-0 is 2-0.
  4. Have really struggled to put a comp on him. Jeffries isn't bad. Maybe a better Andrae Patterson? I need to see him more.
  5. Welcome to the family Armaan. Can't imagine what that must feel like for the kid. I remember just warming up on the other end against Isiah and Landon and the boys and just about wetting myself. Actually wearing the candy stripes? Damn. That being said, if Archie wants the kid, then I want him to have him. But if Franklin isn't ready to compete for rotation minutes early, and that seems to be the thinking here, then I really hope we're looking at someone who is, be it Ramsey or someone else. A '19 backcourt of Green, RP, Durham and Franklin seems realllllly marginal to me unless Hunter, Brooks(hopefully) and some of the other wing types really do evolve into legitimate secondary creators.
  6. Maybe the greatest college class ever, non-Sam Gilbert division.
  7. Don’t lose faith yet. I believe LaLumiere was ranked #1 that year. This year they won’t be any higher than.......2nd. Ok, yeah, lose faith.
  8. I’m the other way. I hope the Admin/alumni get antsy and pull the trigger ASAP. Definitely a mess at the moment. But the guy is a flat out elite bench coach and the longer they give him, the more likely he is to become a problem for us. Thought he outcoached Archie in both games last year, and I don’t mean that as criticism of Archie. I just think Underwood is great strategically and his teams really compete.
  9. Pretty good workout video. Handle needs work, but my Lord, what a toolkit. His shot in the air is just Blackmonesque. I am officially a fan.
  10. Haven’t gotten to see Love play yet. Will definitely check out CBC this fall. But I have heard 3 things consistently about him: 1) He is a great kid who any fan base would be proud of. 2) He is an absolute defensive menace. 3) Contrary to the article, Love is currently, in fact, a terrible shooter. To the point that he will turn down open shots. I’m looking forward to seeing him.
  11. Really liked him in the game yesterday. Athleticism really popped and, yeah, his release is a little funky, but the arc and backspin were gorgeous. But he didn’t look like a secondary creator at all. Looked like a pure 2. With the PG’s and CG’s CAM has offered, is he looking for 2 guards in this class?
  12. I’ve seen Liddell multiple times. He is no backup option. If the kid wants to come, you take him and run. Love him.
  13. Kid really competes. And, of course, he’s been masterfully coached....... See him as 1 of those kids who plays forever as a solid backup/marginal starter.
  14. If Larry was still involved, you could have bet the house on it.
  15. I do not get what Lue is doing with Durant. Switching under any screen at all. Letting one of the best offensive players ever, who’s making everything, work against literally whomever he chooses. Only thought he’s putting in his head is which bad defender does he feel like abusing this trip. Idiotic.
  16. My 2 favorite memories of IU football were the Michigan win in '87 and the Iowa win in '88. Thanks for making them happen, Coach. RIP
  17. Perfect example of the dangers of small sample size. The only time I've seen Brooks live was against Romeo, and he was lousy. Didn't compete physically or mentally. Completely unimpressed. Now he's killing people, and apparently outworking them. Great to hear, and I'm thrilled to be wrong.
  18. Cassius Winston
  19. Assuming he can extend his range, and his form is fine, I think his offensive game has enough versatility to find ways to help at the NBA level. I just don’t see who he defends. He’s not long or explosive off the floor. He really lacks lateral quickness. Not sure how he overcomes those weaknesses without the elite instincts of a Draymond Green. You can hide his issues in college. NBA athletes will just find him on D and abuse him. Hope I’m way off. Love what the kid has done here.
  20. You need to hang on to this prediction. With that length and energy, the kid is going to be a complete defensive menace, and it ain't gonna take long. Love him.
  21. If Archie wants him, then I'm happy to have him. Randy Bennett's terrific, so the kid certainly understands how to play.A 6'10" shooter who knows how to play can only be an asset. However, the fact that Archie wanted a kid with this skill set probably means that the inevitable, "Clifton Moore is killing everyone in workouts," reports need to be taken with a big ol' grain of salt. I would think Fitzner's 10 mins/gm would come right out of Moore.
  22. You better get'em early. By Conference season this team could be a freaking handful.
  23. Not just 3 instate kids. 7000 career points. Incredible careers.
  24. I love rim protectors, so a 6'10" kid with 28 blocks in over 100 games played doesn't exactly hit my sweet spot. But if Archie has a vision for him then bring him on.
  25. Well, since this is where this has gone.....Jack was the 1st thing I ever got face down, stone drunk on. Have not been able to touch it since.
