  1. Romeo hasn't been to a game this year, has he? If not, maybe the last piece of information is getting to see the staff up close managing a game.
  2. Always assumed Preston would never play due to his insanely sketchy academic history. But, hey, impermissible benefits work just as well.
  3. I'm with you. That's absolutely what I think happens. I'll be thrilled if he ends up in Bloomington, but every time he talks about his finalists he looks like somebody s**t in his cereal.
  4. Nope. I say that U of L throws insane money at whomever the hottest name on the market is after the season. Said name proclaims the dawning of a new era of Louisville basketball that will be absolutely pristine in every imaginable way. He will then sell the Langford's on Romeo being the face of the new era. And the Langford's, who pretty obviously wanted their kid there from the jump, bite on it immediately, use that argument as the rationale for keeping Romeo as close to home as possible, and in a whirlwind courtship, he commits to Louisville.
  5. C'mon, what's with the $? You've obviously forgotten that Chris Holtmann and the awe-inspiring Butler Way have come to town. Not only are they no longer paying players, the kids are probably paying the Asst Coaches.
  6. Morgan is a physical clone of Jared Dudley, who has played 11 years as a hybrid 3-4. His shooting has to improve, but the shot's not broken. He's tough, smart, good teammate. He can absolutely play in the league.
  7. They play Webster Groves on 2/3. Carte'are Gordon will be a really good test for Liddell. It's now on my schedule of must see games.
  8. Harbaugh has compared Brandon Peters favorably to Luck on multiple occasions. Some of the most absurd comments in a career filled with them.
  9. Yup. And his shot mechanics are so clean and simple. Perfectly repetitive. Doubt if he ever has a prolonged shooting slump. He's the anti-RoJo. Johnson's shot is so complicated that it's gotta be a constant struggle for him.
  10. Fair point and I hope you're right. But, man, right now he looks like a kid who's taken a couple of years of HS Spanish who just got dropped in the middle of Madrid. I'm sure the staff will be patient with him. Hopefully he's patient enough to stay.
  11. I think Forrester's rebounding and rim protection give him a chance for a few minutes. Will be surprised if Race doesn't get most of what Freddie is getting now. I'll believe Moore contributes when I see it. Yeah, he's got tools. But, my Lord, he is so far behind the pace of play. I'm not sure he ever catches up. Looks like a transfer candidate to me.
  12. Trae Young with 25pts and 10 assists. NW has nothing for him. Incredible player. The Steph Curry comps are completely legit.
  13. Not to sound too hyperbolic, but after watching several of his Hudl vids, I can't really think of any 170lb DB's that are more violent than this kid. Just a total banger. Glad to have him.
  14. Yeah. But when Alpha and his Apostles hit campus all he'll need to do is roll the ball out about 40 times or so and they''ll be Final Four-bound.
  15. We might as well just create a generic ___________ offered. Kid's gonna be offered by everyone.
  16. Everything about that deal was a mess. The foul call that got him the 1st T was just awful. And, yes, he should have shut up on the 2nd one, but he was leaving the court and not talking to anyone in particular. The T didn't calm the situation, it escalated it. Hopefully a teachable moment for him. I had a pretty good angle out the gym door from my seat and he was out there pacing and sort of ranting to himself for several minutes afterwards. I think he knew he'd made a mistake, but it was a little odd. And don't I remember both CAM and his HS coach talk about what a quiet kid he is? From the moment that kid walked into the gym until they walked him out, he never shut up.
  17. That seems exactly right. He'll be a good player at that level.
  18. Little bigger. Listed at 6'10", probably 6''9". Made a couple of jump hooks over his right shoulder through contact. Competed. Ran hard. Struggled a little bit laterally. But that might not be fair, he was defending 6'5" guys who were better athletes.
  19. Nice player. Mid-major guy I would think. Played hard and was physical. Was getting crap from a fan under the basket and every time he scored on that end he would look at the guy and smile. I like him.
  20. Agree with most of the assessments on here. Couple of things: The 2 late 3’s Anderson hit were awesome shot-making. Heavily contested, must make, catch and shoot 3’s with his team down. He isn’t Jay Edwards, but that was Edwards-like. How much better would we be this year with a legit shot maker? Hunter didn’t have a great game, and his demeanor is definitely odd, but there isn’t a single quality you could possibly want that he didn’t flash. His ceiling might be higher than anyone there not named Langford. Brooks-Damn. I would really like some feedback from people who have seen him a lot and fill in some blanks. What I saw: Listed at 6’9”. No way. Had 2 inches on Langford, so 6’7”. Maybe 185. Not sure how much weight he can add. He’s not under developed, just has a really, really narrow frame. No lower body strength. Was pushed off the block by every New Albany kid he tried to post. Every one. Exceptional run/jump athlete. Blocked a Langford drive that was just rare. But otherwise wasn’t much of a factor inside, despite being the tallest, most explosive kid on the floor. Shot needs work. Every jumper was different. Turned down a couple of straight line drives and settled for jumpers that he missed. North got down early, and it looked like he shut it down a little. Looked to me like a talented developmental kid. But a must have, elite recruit? Didn’t see it at all, I was expecting to see sort of a Kris Wilkes type. He is nowhere close to Kris Wilkes. Oh, and I’m not sure we’re not underrating Romeo. He makes incredibly difficult plays look so routine. Amazing player. May be a touch sac religious, but I would take him over Eric Gordon.
  21. I’ll probably post more on this, but, short version, if I didn’t know that Brooks was supposed to be a Guy, I would say that he isn’t one. I don’t know if he’s sick or hurt, or just passive and weak. TJD looks miles better to me.
  22. Anderson and Hunter were at center court as captains. If Anderson is actually 6’6”, Hunter is 6’8” all day, maybe more. Easily 2+ inches difference.
  23. Not like we didn’t already know it, but TJD is just an exceptional prospect. His timing as a shot locker is the best i’ve seen in a long time.
  24. 5-6 from 3. Only miss was heavily contested. Release on his shot is extremely low, off the top of his forehead, and also very little lift. Needs stuff run for him to get a look. But he really knows how to play. If athleticism improves with age, he is a definite maybe. Certainly worth following.
  25. Sitting near the HSE players. One of them must play with Galloway in the summer. His exact words to a teammate: “Dude makes everything.”
