I keep hearing about their 20mil dollar roster. Does anyone know if that’s actually true? I really struggle to buy that, as in I don’t. I just don’t see how you get there without a Dybantsa or a Dent or some super high end kid like that making 4-5 mil right off the top. Oweh’s a good player but they don’t have anyone like those kinds of kids and I just don’t believe that Pope radically overpaid for a slew of pretty good players.

At this point, and they’ll never do it because they love the controversy and the talk and the clicks, but I wish they’d just follow the basketball lead and do 1 announcement show the Sunday after the conference championship games and call it a day. Then, presumably, they’d be prepared to make coherent arguments for this team vs that team based on full body of evidence. Doing this thing every week is pretty infuriating because they just sound arbitrary as hell and with the exception of the obvious ones they have zero chance of satisfying anyone. Actually don’t think I’ll watch it again until the last show.

The polar opposite of the IU game the other night. A bad shooting team that’s making everything. And Coen Carr is the most entertaining non-scorer in CBB. Kid at 6’5” and change goes up and blocks a dunk by 7’1” Malachi Moreno like it’s just not even a thing. Love that kid.

I’ll put my loathing of SEC bias up there with anyone, but if Notre Dame falls tonight because Oklahoma beat Alabama so they move Oklahoma ahead them but don’t drop Bama below them I’m gonna howl. The titanic battle between SEC bias and ND bias.

Basically yeah, though he has better hands and fluidity. But he’s been 1 of the highest rated kids in the class for years based on the perception of huge projectability and so far it hasn’t happened. But he’s 18, so if they want to get in on him that’s fine by me.

Yeah, Ole Miss hiring a guy like Kiffin and then being surprised that he is who he’s always been really is the scorpion and the frog. Even so, given you know you can win at the highest level there, they’ll pay ridiculous jack and you have the chance to be a god with very little critical scrutiny in comparison to the meat grinders that LSU and Florida have evolved into, I’m not sure why that’s not at least as good if not a better job when taking everything into account. Almost feels like Lanning. Why would he leave a gig that good for what those jobs have turned into?

A world class example of equating leaping ability and athleticism. He can really jump, particularly off 2 feet, and he runs pretty well. But he’s not twitchy. He’s average laterally. He’s high cut and doesn’t bend his knees. Average hands. Not strong. And yet if you read about him everything will be some derivative of, “he might be the best athlete in the ‘26 class.” Nope. Not saying he’s not talented because he is, but that one is one of my pet peeves. Not the kid’s fault, just lazy evals.

They must have made one hell of a promise on NIL to get him to pull the trigger this early. But I’d much rather try to make the playoffs through the ACC than from Arkansas or some other 2nd tier SEC school.

Not sure, but there’s what I believe is a new picture on his Instagram of him and I assume his parents and brother all dressed in IU gear. It looks like a commitment sort of pose but I don’t have Instagram so I can’t read it. Someone else will need to look at that.

Not sure UM even has to win. As good a year as Sayin has had I think there are a fair number of voters who struggle with the idea of voting for a guy who everybody knows isn’t even the best player on his own team.

Not impressive at all. Haven’t seen every B1G team enough yet to be super confident in an opinion, but what I have seen, after PU, Illinois and Michigan I’m not sure anyone else is just straight up objectively better than IU. They’re a fair bit more cohesive than UCLA, Washington or MSU. Kudos to DDV on that front.

Not 1 pass in their last 3 possessions. Particularly liked him trying to body Thornton who outweighs him by 50lbs to create space to get off a shot.

This feels like one that could absolutely happen if they’re super serious about him.

RIP Todd Snider. For those who only remember him from “Alright Guy” and “Beer Run” from 30yrs ago, no, that dude had a career. One of the flat out best songwriters of his generation and worked with and was covered by literally every great artist across Americana, blues and alt-country. Was also incredibly frank about his demons. This is one of the best songs about addiction I know.

Their OL is terrible and maybe he’s just shell shocked by now but, man, you can straight see his brain lock up.
