Junior year wasn’t an official, I don’t believe. But I could be wrong.

A kid with an Adidas NIL deal with 3 Adidas schools on his list. Visited IU and KU as a junior and has already taken senior year officials to Ga Tech and Auburn. Ya has been on him forever. IU was 1 of his first offers. If I remember correctly Tiller and Jakai Newton are boys. I’m a fan but I refuse to entertain this one until he schedules a senior official.

Came across this today. “This Could Be Texas” is the debut album of a British band called English Teacher, and this is a simply fantastic record. Came out a few months ago and I guess you could call it post punk if you insisted on labeling it, but that doesn’t cover it. Every song starts as 1 thing and then evolves into something else and yet never does anything feel disjointed or unfocused. It’s really good musically, love the percussion, and the singer is a woman named Lily Fontaine and she has a really unique delivery. Big, big thumbs up.

Almost spit my drink. But the thing is there is great value to having the guy on the floor that nobody wants any part of.

He looks bloated and red in a high blood pressure-ish sort of way and he’s pretty much totally gray which I’d never really noticed being that obvious before. Maybe he’d just had a really nice porterhouse and a couple of scotches the night before.

Might be a better option than getting picked in the expansion draft. 80k a year or whatever she makes now ain’t gonna cut in San Francisco.

A pretty good summary of Grady as a player here. Finding space and impeccable shooting. A couple of plays in the 4:00 or so range where it looks like the rotation is there in time but his preparation is so good and he has no wasted motion that he just gets them off no problem. 1 thing: would be curious about his actual measurements. Up fairly close to him I would have said he was 6’5” and he was clearly not as tall as McNeeley. But 17yo’s grow.

That kid can really freaking shoot it. He might be a better shooter than McNeeley. His mechanics are so good and his release is so quick that you can't shade off him in any way. Not a lot else to his game at this point, but he's a good athlete with a nice frame and he competes hard. No reason to think the other stuff won't come. Watched him at Chipotle and his shooting coach needs a raise.

Georgia HS basketball is insane. When Ya 1st got here and started offering all the Georgia kids I subscribed to NFHS to watch the offerees and the level of play was so high and there were all these kids I’d never heard of who weren’t even ranked and yet were obvious HM kids that I couldn’t even believe it. It’s a freaking pleasure to keep track of.

Had this brainstorm to Amtrak it both ways on Saturday because I really don’t feel like staying in Chicago overnight. The trip there is perfect. The trip back doesn’t work. Very disappointing.

There are gonna be teams who have no matchup for him at all. Little brother’s one of them. Not saying he’s gonna do a JHS to them, but I imagine there will be possessions where Woody simply puts them in 4 low and he just abuses Loyer.

Yeah, that feels like a really bad environment for Towns. But, Minny is gonna be must see tv next year when Randle gets in 1of those moods where he just pounds it relentlessly until he can get a shot off while Edwards just stands and stares at him.

Not sure who would be surprised here. Probably the most physically talented kid on the roster. If Devonte Green had actually been the player he saw in the mirror he would have been Kanaan Carlyle. Some of his decision making will frustrate occasionally, but he can take over games.

I don’t know about underrated, but I’ve seen every Mizzou(#9) game and multiple games of Michigan(#10) and USC(#11) and with my untrained eye I’d be completely comfortable against any of those teams on a neutral field.

RIP to the great Kris Kristofferson. If you’re just sort of familiar with his name or that he wrote Me and Bobby McGee or some old movie he was in, you need to check out his Wikipedia page. It doesn’t even look real. That guy led 1of the all-time lives. All American college athlete. Rhodes Scholar. Army Ranger. Flew helicopters in Vietnam. Grammy winning artist. Oscar nominated actor. Country music Hall of Fame. Wrote a million great songs. Political activist. Unbelievable.
