Yup, USC has the LSU win and I think it might be a precursor of what’s gonna happen if they end up 11-1. They’re gonna be passed over for some 2-loss SEC team and the rationale will be that if Nebraska and Michigan are your best wins you didn’t beat anybody. The fact that you hammered all of them will become irrelevant.

Wow, just saw the targeting non-call in the Miami-Cal game. Not a conspiracy guy at all, but that was about as flagrant an example of a League office putting their thumb on the scale as you’ll see. Doesn’t excuse Cal blowing a huge lead. But if they make that very obvious call that game is over and the ACC’s best chance at a playoff team takes a bad L.

I just can’t, but the announcers talking openly about mercy rules was up there with Al Michaels “Do You believe in Miracles?” call.

This is making me a little queasy to think about having to root for, but since IU doesn’t play Oregon the best outcome for them is probably OSU to lay a beating on them, correct?

Personally, my favorite is Notre Dame at 7. I don’t care if you beat everyone else by a million, YOU LOST A HOME BUY GAME TO A MAC SCHOOL. You do not get to go to the playoffs under any circumstances.

If Cal can figure out a way to beat Miami, and they’re up in the 2nd qtr, 6 of the top 12 will lose today. And only 1 would have lost to a ranked team.

Wow, Arkansas has some 250lb freshman RB that has some Tennessee kids making business decisions. Kid looks like Jerome Bettis.

Yeah, if IU’s history makes it too tough for voters to swallow and put them ahead of a bunch of high profile 1 loss teams, fine, just keep winning. But they better not be behind any 2 loss teams.

Yeah, gotta bump this because all 3 of these teams lost as road favorites, Mizzou got boatraced, while IU won comfortably as a road favorite. Voters better freaking notice this week.

And Minny really should beat USC here. Given some of what’s gone on today would love to see IU in the teens this week.

No kidding, this’ll be an interesting thing to watch. You knew with Saban they were always gonna be the highest ranked team at their number of losses. Highest 1 loss. Highest 2 loss. Always. Was that a Saban thing only or is it also a Bama thing by being by the biggest name in the biggest conference? Is DeBoer gonna get the same genuflection from voters?

Why is Vandy taking a knee on the kickoff? You need the freaking clock to run. I’m floored by the fundamental lack of understanding of the value of time except in the most obvious scenarios.

Which official called the PI? Was it the side judge? If so, it’s the same one who didn’t call the obvious PI against Cooper.

I forget Sanguinetti is still at IU every single game until he makes a play and then I’m surprised.

That feels like kind of a soul sucking drive for NW. No big play or penalty, just “We can do this to you guys over and over.”
