Memphis was the original NBA analytics org so I’m sure their Edey profile fits where they’re going, but, man, I don’t know how his defense holds up. Every team’s got 3-4 guys who can do to him what JHS did. And he’s gonna put so much pressure on the tag defender. I just don’t see how you scheme around it.

Anybody who wondered why Woody put a lot of effort , for him, into Boogie Fland needs to flip on the Arkansas-Kansas scrimmage. KU’s missing a coup,e of guards, but Fland is getting in the lane at will. He’s electric with the ball.

2025 General Recruiting Thread (BBall)

Thankfully I’ve not read anything that just flat busts on a 17 year old, but the inference I sort of draw from some of the different things I’ve read is that he might have a pretty strong sense of entitlement. Self and Izzo were both in pretty hard on him and then bailed out. He had an MSU official scheduled that I believe was cancelled, though I might have that wrong. I read something from some UConn insider type that suggested he wanted to commit there and Hurley straight-armed him waiting for Reibe and Bundalo, or the family, may not have handled it well. No idea if any of that’s true, but it feels like you’d want to dig in a bit if you wanted to get in there. -
Michigan beats Toledo 96-92 in their charity exhibition. UM’s offense is a mile ahead of their defense. Their defensive communication was bad bad.

Rankest speculation imaginable, but there is a fair amount of banter that ‘25 5-star PF Niko Bundalo might be re-opening his recruitment. At Prolific Prep now but is originally from some little town in Ohio. IU was never in on him and from all indications he’s a little bit of a different kid and some schools got in and then got out. But athletic 6’10” stretch 4’s don’t grow on trees and given the program’s success with short, late recruitments, may be at least worth paying a little attention to. -

On 6 mins of viewing, pretty decent frame, runs ok, hands and feet look like they can play, doesn’t shy from contact, has some present skill, that jumper brings rain. Has some obvious projectability. So, there’s that.Game looks like it would be really fast for him just now. Side note: Don’t know if I’ve ever heard an announcer getting that excited calling a game for about 20 people. Love it. -

Alright then. That’s out of the blue. Per his feed has offers from Bama, Xavier and Stanford. Icelandic big who plays at CATS Academy in Boston. Ok, you now know everything I know. -
I’d love to see ESPN really utilize him heavily in the studio. Those little 1 minute analyses of plays in multiple games going on simultaneously, I think he’s great at that stuff.

2 things here: 1)That is really good news with Hatton. I still think he’s strictly a niche guy by conference season, but if he’s good enough to give them legit positive minutes in foul situations or should Ballo or Reneau miss a couple of games, that’s so good. 2) If Galloway and Newton can go 15–18 hard minutes in a scrimmage now they’re good to go. I don’t care if they play Sunday.

Coach Curt Cignetti to INDIANA... Forever and Ever, Amen!

Yeah, I don’t remember having much of a jet lag problem when I was 21. But it is a little bit cold-blooded of the League to give the west coast teams de facto 9am kickoffs. -
No surprise here because: 1) Abdur-Rahim was on Crean’s Georgia staff, and 2) Crean is just that guy.

Very well stated

If it’s not IU I really need it to not be Colorado. Seems like a great kid and I don’t want to actively cheer against him but the roots of my Prime loathing are pushing 40 years deep now. Maybe my all-time least favorite guy in sports.
