Came across these guys courtesy of my grandniece, who has a great ear and naturally gravitates to wildly under appreciated bands. Rattlesnake Milk is an Austin, TX sort of alt-country band. But that doesn’t really get it. There are elements of every genre of country imaginable but the guitar work, which is spectacular, is pure Dick Dale surf rock. What it adds up to is awesome. The 1st track is from their self-titled album and it’s kind of crude and under-produced and cool. The 2nd is from their most recent album, a couple of years ago, and is just a terrific freakin’ song. Seriously, this is kick-a$$ put the top down and drive music. Big thumbs up.

Ok, OSU fans may obviously suck, but the fact that a fair percentage of them seem to be backing IU for the rest of the playoffs combined with this being objectively hilarious means I need to cut them a little slack for a couple of days.

Can’t imagine there will be a clearer example this cycle of chasing the check than this one.

Yup. You know this stuff miles better than I do but this one feels for all the world like a depth piece and if he’s playing 50 snaps something’s gone sideways.

Class of ‘20. Will be a 7th year Senior playing next season at 25. Love the staff as much as anyone but I’ll never be down with guys like this.

Will say this much, Sorsby is miles better than Behren Morton.

That is stone nuts. Overpaying for a Sorsby feels pretty dicey, overplaying close to that just feels indefensible if you aren’t playing for a Natty at the end of the line. Question, because I don’t know really get the mechanics of this stuff: can they structure these deals with performance incentives or is that outside of how NIL as it is now works?

For sure, nature of the market and I’m sure they’ll pay market value, but this thing right now has such ridiculous cachet that to the extent that anyone can do it in this era they can probably just select a QB rather than have to get into a heated bidding situation. If it turns out to be Hoover it’s because they wanted that QB rather a QB. We are so through the looking glass here. Unbelievable.

I know BTN is gonna spend the entire week in hype mode, but they just posted this graphic and called the numbers “eerily similar.” Really, are they?
