I would probably prefer Oats as a sure thing hire. I don’t even think he would leave but you never know. My bigger concern is Dusty May turning out to be the real thing and I think he probably is, and we missing him by one season. I think he leaves this year for a big time school.

I will never root for us to lose! We need to keep some momentum for the next season with or without Woodson as mentioned before.

Calipari wouldn’t come here now. We already turned him down once. I’m still hoping for Beard or Pearl with a watch and see on Dusty May.

Woody is too stubborn to retire without a heavy paycheck. In his mind it’s the injuries that got us. He will stand his ground because he got us in the tournament his first two years and swept Purdue last year. My argument is he should have been more prepared.

We don’t block out. Coach is not getting through . It’s on him . Next year will be no different

The only way I would fire a coach is if I knew who I had in the bag to follow him. Going after one guy and scrambling when he turns us down is not the best way to go about hiring a great coach.

I was at the IU vs OSU game earlier this season. Xavier had his best game and scored like 18 points. We do not have him tonight. I expect Jamison Battle, Thorton and Gayle jr to have big games. We lose this one.

I like the good young coaches that get their shot at the big schools. I’m just not sure I want to risk it. I’d rather have a proven winner as first choice.

I get it, but who is our guy to take Woody’s place? When the time comes to move on, we better make sure plan A is in place.

I don’t see Woody getting fired this year with his Buckner and Dolson connections. He got us to the tournament two years in a row . TJD had a lot to do with that . I’m ready to move on line most of you . I just don’t see him getting fired this season . Also there’s the huge buyout!

Mgbako is playing crappy defense. Looks lazy guarding on the perimeter. This really bothers me. It’s totally effort related. I could see him leaving for another school. I want him to buy in and stay here. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Mbacko didn’t play defense today. That hurt us a whole bunch. The obvious is the perimeter shooting and free throws. This is my least favorite team since Crean’s start from scratch year.

I watched Illinois vs Northwestern. I don’t think we can beat either team and it might get ugly again.

-I would change court to have more color. - Nike Brand Uniforms - Add names to them - Hire a coach that can put together a team that scores points and defends. Rebounds and makes free throws.

Let’s focus on next year. No point in talking about Woodson being gone after this season. It’s who we could lose in the 25 class not the 24.

I say it every time there is a possible coaching change. I’m grew up watching Bruce Pearl win at Southern Indiana. He is older but still has the enthusiasm as one much younger. He said IU was his dream job and he has plenty of connections to Indiana high schools. His past was a tad bumpy at times but all those rules have changed now. If we go looking for another coach I would have him in my top three. Most proven coaches will be unrealistic. I promise you he is better than anything we have had in a long time.

Is that how they lured James Battle in?

My worry is we start losing our Montverde Academy recruiting steam. Without that pipeline Woody would be up $hit creek in a hurry. I’m not ready to say fire him, but I’m concerned about the future of IU basketball if I am to judge this teams current state!
