It’s called common sense. You guys bring a great vibe, but most of the so called insiders, give bad information and it makes the whole fan base look stupid and gullible. We haven’t got a hire right in 30 years, what makes you think it will be any different this time. I have also been saying Michigan will try and lock up Dusty May the closer we get to hiring a new coach. I would be happy if we pulled him away, but the Brad Stevens talk is just silly.

We can come back to this later. Woodson isn’t leaving till end of year. Stevens isn’t coming to IU in any fashion. My guess would be Dusty May or some hungry mid major coach. I don’t know why we allow ourselves to believe the rumor mill each and every time

Woodson failed at the end once again. The team played very hard, so no complaints there. Hoping for a decent end to the season and a new coach.

I am not saying I don’t want Woody fired Mid season. I wanted him let go last year, and I’m not doubting there was a meeting about the firing chants and damage control . However, I would be shocked if he gets let go until March. That’s just how we roll around here.

So a coworker of mine asked me this morning if I heard about Woodson having an NBA gig set up for next year. I would assume if this was true, it wouldn’t be for anything important. Coworker said he follows some message boards. I told him that I do too, but haven’t seen that one yet. I’m assuming BS. IDK?

That’s just common sense. No way is administration firing him mid season with a winning record. That just makes them look worse for not firing him after last season. It will be at the end of the season , unless it gets too ugly!

Here is my prediction. No coaching change till end of year unless Woody goes out with health related reasons. Brad Stevens has no interest as he has tried to tell us the last couple of times. We contact a few good coaches and end up with a mid major. Hope I’m wrong!

Crean could probably win with this roster, but I wouldn’t want him long term. It would be terrible publicity to hire him back after firing him just to let him go again.

I’m not going to fall for the Stevens talk again. We should focus on candidates we actually have a shot at. It’s fun to dream, but let’s be real. I think we get it right this time, I just don’t think it’s with him.

So does Mbako liking it mean anything or am I looking at it wrong?

I’ve took some time off, kind of checked out since McNeely and Mullins said no thanks. I just want to add that I was one that wanted him gone last season. Many of my friends thought the NIL money would out weigh Woodson’s defeciencies. My hope is that we move on and get Dusty behind the scene's, before he gets a massive extension. If there are better options, I’m happy with that too. Indiana basketball is about toughness and heart. We have no leadership. I would like to see an interim coach take over. We have to get this hire right this time!

I’d take anyone on that list other than Archie at this point.

Probably not the right thread for this, but I will say that I took a break from reading about recruiting and it’s really been nice. I’m not emotionally attached like was. Took a break from Indiana sports beat radio as well. Looking forward to an exciting season, but in the grand scheme of things, I’m pretty happy waiting on kids to announce.. See ya in another month.
