  1. I had a stent after a procedure to remove a kidney stone. Not fun at all and had to deal with it for three days before it could be removed. Hope I never have to go through that again.
  2. I'm not so sure. Sometimes a narrative takes on a life of its own. I see two camps about Indiana this season. One loves the story and has been gaining followers as the wins continue to mount. The other is Indiana hasn't played anyone, and while a cute story, they will get exposed when they play a real team. I get it. We've been bad forever. What most people miss is that this is not even remotely similar to those teams. First time I can remember that we are good in all three phases of the game. I have not idea if we can win on Saturday, but this is not the Indiana football team that they have been familiar with.
  3. No doubt. I never look forward to the Dr. Jellyfinger exam. When I complain about it my explains the PAP smear procedure and I quit talking.
  4. On paper, they are better. They spent crazy money on this team because they couldn't stand losing to Michigan. They are probably the best team in the country and losing in their house would be no disgrace. But, the games aren't played on paper and our guys have something to prove. We may not win, but I can guarantee this IU team won't roll over for anyone.
  5. I have no idea how this will go. But I won't pick against this team. They have earned my loyalty. Cigs - 31 The highest paid team in America - 21
  6. Who should or shouldn't be number 1 doesn't matter if we keep on winning. We control our destiny.
  7. Coach Cignetti is/was never insecure. Google him. He did what he needed to do to breathe some life into this program. DD is an entertainer. Defending the previous staff was always going to be a losing proposition. Allen, although I liked him as a person, was never going to be able to elevate IU football. We have seen what someone with a vision and a plan can do. Coach Cignetti, college football coach of the year.
  8. What CCC has done this year is unprecedented. I was hoping for a bowl game this year. We have far exceeded that at this point. Now we are talking about being one of 12 teams to be in the college football playoffs. IU football playing for a national championship in football. When we have ever imagined that. This team, in my opinion, is over achieving. The sum is greater than the parts. We have ten wins. In football. I hope we don't take this for granted. Seasons like this don't come around very often.
  9. We have to keep in mind that Michigan's roster is full of 4 and 5 star players. Ours, not so much. Talent matters and so does coaching. I love beating these self entitled programs. I would have liked another blowout, but remember who we were last year compared to now. This was a great team win. We have a complete football team in all phases of the game. We'll go to OSU and play our ***** off. Win or lose this the best IU football team I have ever seen.
  10. Height is extremely important in lawn mowing. I'd have fired him too.
  11. I love everything about CCC but I do think that we kinda caught lightning in a bottle this season. We need to make sure that he is here next season and has a chance to build a sustainable program. I once watched a movie where a leading character said that the way to a women's heart was "an unexpected gift at an unexpected time". This season has been that unexpected gift.
  12. No. I think this team will embrace the challenge and at the very least, the opportunity to play for a national championship. Coach Cig as well. It's that whole 'chip on the shoulder' thing.
  13. I want ND. I would love to us knock the smug off their faces.
  14. Sometimes when you get older and move up to a higher level, you want to enjoy the fruits of your labor and not move on just to start over. Money only means so much, especially if you don't need more. CCC is a hero here. He is the embodiment of the Hoosier work ethic. The pressure at a higher profile place, after what he has done here, would be astronomical. Sometimes being comfortable in a position is important, especially after you have proven you can succeed.
  15. Unstoppable Cigs - 45 Bighousemen - 10 My days of doubting and football PTSD are over.
  16. One of my favorites in real time. Used to scare the crap out of me.
  17. Who cares. We beat the tar out of both of them.
  18. I think I have said this already, but in my 60 years of following IU football this is the best team on both sides of the ball that I have ever seen.
  19. Rourke is the straw that stirs the drink. And I don't nean any disrespect for Tayven at all. I think he can be the guy. But right now, Rourke is doing what he was brought here to do.
  20. I hate MSU like no other, with lack of accountability for crimes against women. So beat them into a puddle of mud.
