Well, here we go. It's starting today! Get excited!? I'm looking forward to watching this team of upper classmen. It will be fun. Hope that it is a 'Season to Put in Ink'. Concerned about XJ. Hope he gets his groove back, soon. But I am numb and shell-shocked from all the changes in the world. The changes include war, sicknesses, inequality, lack of mutual respect, public education funding in jeopardy, media sound bites, hype, performance politics in lieu of compromise, the over concentration of capital, the failure of the NCAA...and the worst of all: the most likely loss in football to Purdue. Well, I don't know what to do about the latter. But for the rest: Vote! In the past 2+ decades we have watched Indiana University basketball generally taking a back seat in the BIG and nationally. Glad that IU has turned this sport around with the hire of CMW and giving basketball the support, it needs to succeed.

They Fired Tom Allen!

I have seen a lot in my time. I remember IU playing in the Rose Bowl. IU will return and play in the Rose Bowl again. But when we do, it will be on BTN+. -

Archie Miller is available. His team beat OSU while at Dayton. Just think what he could do with our resources! -

They Fired Tom Allen!

For the want of a few bad calls, a couple of wide receivers, a punter, an offensive line, pressure on the opposing QB, a field goal kicker, pass protection, a QB that can throw under pressure, a running game, some recruiters, IU's tradition of losing has nothing to do with it, join another conference to play football at IU's level, etc. Maybe IU should move the campus to a state that only has one B1G university with a larger state population. Just raise the prices on the tailgating lots and force all students to go to the soccer games or else. But wouldn't it just be easier to blame the HC? -
From Rutgers Wire today (Saturday): Rutgers: DL Mohamed Toure – Out for season (knee), LB Moses Walker – Out for season (knee), QB Gavin Wimsatt – Questionable (Undisclosed), RB Aaron Young – Out Indefinitely (Undisclosed) Indiana: WR David Baker – Out indefinitely (Undisclosed), TE AJ Barner – Questionable (Foot), OL Matthew Bedford – Out for season (Knee), LB Cam Jones – Questionable (Foot),TE Ryan Miller – Out indefinitely (Undisclosed), WR Jaquez Smith – Out for season (Undisclosed), WR Javon Swinton – Questionable (Undisclosed) Indiana has lost seven straight Big Ten road games dating back to December 2020, and Rutgers has lost 21 straight conference games at home. Rutgers is coming off of a bye week and it is homecoming. But it is New Jersey.

Little Rock game 11/23
Dave from Dayton replied to NashvilleHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
You may want to call a few places, first, and ask if they are to be open Thanksgiving Day. I have travelled to Indianapolis and on to Dayton OH on Thanksgiving and found not a lot open for eats. Likewise, back and forth to Evansville there were not a lot of places open for dinner especially. This does not include breweries or nightclubs which I wasn't looking for when travelling. Found one Korean steak place open and survived. Game day in Bloomington might just be a lot different than what I experienced. One would think. Check it out, first. And keep your gas tank full. (Or E-car charged.) -
Rutgers has a more than decent defense. But their OC was fired, and they have 3 QBs that aren't performing well. Indiana likes to turn over the ball. And make mistakes. It is tradition, you know. I thought IU might just pull one out against Maryland. Then again...no At least IU doesn't give up. They just don't win. (Tosses coin. Calls heads. Heads wins.) IU 27 Rutgers 20 I am so very excited about IU football! I mean soccer! They are playing better and better. Watch it Tuesday night on BTN. IU @ UW.

IUFB 2022 Season Thread

Agreed. Attended speech class at IU in '69 with Jade Butcher. Learned more than I wanted to know about Tartan Turff, Astro Turf, and why he wanted to be a coach. Only reason we lost was 3 turnovers. The sky has not fallen. We haven't lost to Purdue this season. And there is basketball. Get the QB so that he can hit a crossing pattern over the defensive line's outstretched hands. Or that intentional grounding crap. -

The ending of the half was fun. Waiting for replay of the secret/special play. -
