But it was painfully apparent that something wasn't clicking on the staff during games. Fife was 'assigned' to Woody. Now Woody can pick his assistant. I have no problem with that.

Was hoping that Phin would have a phenominal year and he just didn't. But he played hard and shared the ball. Was unsure about Xavier and his record of turnovers and his temper. It took him so deep into the season to get that under control. All of the players had need of improvement. The easy non-conference was not a help in my opinion. And the lack of a seasoned upperclass nucleus of a team really sux. The coaching staff seemed unable to either make proper adjustments at the half or fix the slow starts until lately. A lot of the challenge was due to the lack of a great guards until Xavier matured or due to poor shooting. And the team just wasn't clicking. But the team did end well. And the team and coaches implemented a really good to excellent defense! I discount the last game because they were fatigued. They were learning to win. The coaches are learning, too, I hope. There are too many needs for recruiting and transfers to list. I am reluctant to grade the team and coaches because of this being such a transition from before. Regardless, Due to the team being inconsistant early in conference play but jelling for a few at the end...so a pre- final grade of B-. Bonus for beating PU, and defense, and staying, and being Indiana! Final team grade: B! And the coaching did seem professional, did a decent job improving play at the end, with marginal successes. I wonder why Fife sits separate from Woody. With a flawed roster did improve record from previous year. Wondered about substitutions; but we always wonder. Pre-final grade: B-. Bonus for not being Archie, for giving hope, for the defense, and generally meeting goals for Woody's first year: B. Good with lots of room for improvement. * However evaluation and ratings are on a curve...and each successive year for the coaches will get tougher. Recruiting should improve over time.

Hit free throws, rebound, low turnovers and fouls, lots of good shooting and assists, defend like you mean it..and win this big game! Go Indiana!

Daughter had good seats at UD Arena last night. Said 95% IU fans. Her iPhone couldn't send to my android. That sucked almost as badly as TruTV camerawork. Proud of the IU team. Just keep winning!

Well any one player can have a field day. But if IU plays an "A" game, isn't tired, the defense travels, hits free throws... Well, you know.

Was wondering about Race. Anyone notice that he isn't playing like he did earlier in the conference games? Is he so beat up that bruises are on top of bruises? I understand that he always gets tough assignments. Thank goodness that Geronimo has hops and has developed that special sense.

Prediction: Indiana 66; St. Mary's 64. St. Mary's lost to Wisconsin and Zags twice. But beat the Zags, too. They slow it down. Even scoring starters. Methodical and in control they don't make mistakes. But, Wyoming didn't make mistakes until they met IU's defense. They don't defend the 3. But IU can't hit the inside of a barn. The difference is St. Mary's does not have an excellent player. IU has TJD! IU makes it to Saturday's game!

Stop 24 backing to the basket. And defend the 3.

1 week north Ft Myers Beach. 1 week south end. Lani Kai got hit with a waterspout a couple days ago. Lifted the deck and tossed parties. No injuries that I have heard. Across the street is the bar Hoosiers In Paradise. Will be there Thursday... Today at the Sandbar. In between is WT101 bourbon. And watching stingrays and dolphins and stuff. Especially the latter.

Almost put on my Yellowstone National Park t-shirt today. Not today...that park and the Tetons are fantastic. But today is INDIANA!

This day is a big deal! Already wearing IU gear and talking Hoosier basketball while sipping coffee. Lots of IU fans in Estero Beach FL. IU is going to be doing it on the hardwood tonight baby!

Used to be in management at Dayton International Airport. Service by airlines has been reduced severely since the not so great recession. Oh well. I don't feel sorry for the opponents of Indiana. Should I? Naaaaaw!

FYI, ticket prices are starting to drop for Tuesday games. Was at $190/ea. Not that high now.

Not so. Pack line worked in Dayton. It didn't in Bloomington. Archie didn't recruit at the level required for the Big Ten. He also was not supported by the IU Athletics Dept. The team had issues, too. Big difference between the support then and now. But the buck stops at the Head Coach.

Welcome Race fans! Welcome all Indiana team and fans! UD Arena and the Dayton environs are a great place to enjoy Indiana wins in th Big Dance. Indiana beats Y O Ming 82 to 54. Geronimo plays a little. Lander scores. TJD scores 23 and sits late because of the huge lead. Xavier does cartwheels. Phin doesn't attempt a 3 and scores double digits. Race gets a triple double. IU is in it to win it.
