  5. Just gave blood and got a chance on 1st four tickets. Daughter will get them if I win because I'm headed to Ft. Myers Beach for a couple of weeks. There are many choices south, east, north, and downtown Dayton to eat. I would park near the Oregon District on 5th and bar hop...and check menus: Salar (Peruvian) $$$; Franco's (Italian) $$+; Oregon Express (Pizza, Burger); Dublin Pub; Toxic Brewery (no food); check Tripadvisor or Yelp. Coco's $$; Jay's Seafood $$$; Oakwood Club $$$$. Daughter really likes Old Scratch Pizza. If in town for one night...I would start at one end of the Oregon District, and end up at Toxic...and call Uber. They close most of the street on weekends. Parking is available at either end. There's a bunch of college-type eateries on Brown near Stewart...Smash Burger to Jimmy's Ladder. Stewart is between the UD and close to the UD Arena. Dayton and the area really do support and encourage college basketball. There are a bunch of coffee bistros near Wayne. For historic-early American beer try the Carillon Brewery. Note that I'm steering clear of chains. There are more breweries downtown and around. There is a really interesting cocktail/bourbon bar on Jefferson...the Century Bar. Enjoy.
  6. I was 6 years sober, no alcohol, no cigarettes, no betting... then I went to grade school. Hoosiers 72 Squirrels 62
  7. I see Team C as a definite 1 seed. Any questions? No. Didn't think so.
  8. Did not understand nor did I see the cause of the technical. Anyone have a perspective?
  9. Now that last minute was fun, fun, fun!
  10. Did Durr get 2 points for that bounce?
  11. typical IU basketball lately. Cannot hold a lead. Drives me to drinking.
  12. And work it inside. Maryland has no defense in there.
  13. Like that they are working it in. Kopp is moving more. And the uniforms are honorary. Win the game, Hoosiers!
  14. A. J. Moye! A. J. Moye! Can leap tall buildings in a single bound.
  15. I have seen a lot of years of Indiana basketball. This year is not over. It is up to the players and the Coach to decide what legacy they want. Go Hoosiers!
  16. Very good friend swears by Ocean Jeff... And it is very smooth. But, I like rye mash in mine. With a little pepper hit. I think that Ocean is the only Jeff that is just a wheat and corn blend. Very smooth...very.
  17. Knobs Creek Small Batch 9... Just trying it now. Nick, nick, nick....
  18. Just win, baby! So, does Galloway dress and play tonight? I did enjoy the way that IU came back against OSU. There were certain aspects that hurt, sure. But IU really did have a fairly decent 2nd half. Actually, neither team, OSU nor IU, played really well. Except for Malachi B. No turnovers early and IU wins tonight.
  19. I predict that IU wins the remaining regular season games 71 to 67. "Eurasia is always fighting Europa. War is peace." - Orwell. “We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office.” —Aesop. "What? Me worry?" - Alfred E. Newman.
  20. So IU is not a top 20 team, eh? Surprised? IU recently lost to ranked teams. Not an excuse. It's just a fact. But the two that really PO me are the Wisconsin loss at AH and the OT loss to OSU. IU isn't a bad team. Just seriously flawed with little flexibility to work with. But almost all B1G teams have issues. Will IU make it into the NCAAT? Not without winning a bunch of the remaining games. So... Mary's lamb 64 Indiana 70
  21. Matta was not hired as an assistant. In fact, I remember his contract was to include a clause that Matta would not be involved in the day-to-day coaching nor in game-time coaching...and specifically not in active recruiting. But, what is...ahem...interesting is that Fife is not sitting with Woody. Maybe they didn't click. And it is telling that Fife was announced before Woody. Strange that. But that is all smoke and mirrors. This is on Woody. Win the close ones, please. What is March without IU in the NCAAT? Abyss. Now I'm wondering if Woody will be able to close the deal with recruits. Guess that IU will have to fine tune the $$$... I can see the deals now: Hey 5* recruit, we have you slated to be the spokesperson for Nick's. Big money in that. The biggest! /s
  22. First post here after being at the game with family. After the lack of offense in the first half, I was surprised at the scoring in the 2nd half. Seems the last few minutes Ohio State did better on defense. Crowd got into it. But, throughout the contest and in many games lately there is one thing that I do not understand. Why does Coach Woody not change the offense when the ball gets into TJD's hands? The perimeter guy feeds TJD usually on the right. TJD hesitates. The perimeter guy scoots to the other side of the court. I guess to draw his defender. But, instead, TJD gets doubled with no one available for the kickout. So there are many questioning TJD's lack of flexibility in scoring. There are comments about lack of offense. This is on Coach Woody. Why stick TJD about 8 feet out on the right with two defenders and no options? Sure, we can talk about the free throws, Xavier's turnovers at the start, mental errors, Race and his turnover, lack of movement, lack of assists, lack of shooters, shortage of available guards, roster management, and Trayce's hesitation..but when trying for bread and butter score and TJD is set up to fail...why?
