I find it interesting the loaner planes stopped after the sweet 16 debacle. The donors figured it out way before our AD did. I also find it humorous how some posters are so uptight over this recruiting cycle. Three regimes later I couldn’t be less worried. If not inside then outside lol. I like this recruit though.

(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA
schoosier replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Tom will call in all his favors from Indiana high school coaches, whom he tried to change their offenses while getting destroyed by a 2-3 zone. The net cutting ceremony after a home loss will get him plenty of space in Cook Hall. TDJ, Brooks, Romeo and top IN players can now feel secure(Arch) they will be trained, educated, and well coached now at Indiana. -
(2019) SG Armaan Franklin to IU

So does Damezi and he’s the best shooter of the 3. I think Archie feels good about his guards obviously the emphasis on bigs this cycle. -
Agree. We’re holding these athletes to higher standards than the coaches who recruited them. This isn’t a big surprise considering who made these rules to begin with.
-
They already go thru it picking colleges out of high school. Now you have hardship cases, 5th year grads so why stop there? If an athlete explodes and wants to transfer up or the opposite, they should be treated just like any coach who wants to leave. Should a student athlete be treated any different than any other student?
-
The whole sit out a year to transfer needs to be gone. You get 5 to play 4 and athletes should be able to move just like coaches.

Yes I’m sure they were all sold on being the man, playing time, parents jobs, cars and money. Just ask the disgruntled Duke player. If a top recruit is worried about PT, I’m not sure they’re Indiana material. No knock against Carton, but Arch will play the best players to win now. A top recruit shouldn’t be worried about that.

All of the blueblood schools cheat and usually do the best. Plus, when they get caught the NCAA waits to really punish SMU or other school. Living in the gray areas just has to be done if you want 5 star players that win championships. That and plausible deniability.

You have an opinion but I’m quite sure not all of the facts. Otherwise, Meyer would have already been gone.

Rushing to judgement is another part of the problem. Will you accept it if OSU keeps him?
-
Clemson’s D coordinator just signed a new contract for 2 mil per thru 2022. One assistant makes 2/3 of our entire budget for staff? How are we ever supposed to compete with OSU, Mich, and Penn St?
-
I don’t see how Wilson could get the job. Wasn’t player abuse alleged at Indiana? That would not do well in light of recent events at OSU.

If we could just pick up the next Holiday coming thru. All of them go pro. -

Arch is also recruiting a player out of So Calif. No doubt that’s a message to one of our most polarizing Hoosiers not named Knight. -
13 schollies prove otherwise. Im sure the stats would back it up also.

Just not enough scholarships for this to happen. Race could have helped us last year.

(2019) PF Matthew Hurt to Duke
schoosier replied to goonaha's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I like our chances better than the last time we battled with Duke for a stud, and hope there’s more. I have an inner peace knowing a difference in recruiting approach here recently. -
Must be a hold up with the UK bag man with all the FBI snooping. Don’t commit without the cash and Memphis must have put in a nice bid.

Gf has said oh you can stay and go to the game, but we all know what that means.... Probably one the best things about not being married or serious. I have cut my weddings and funerals 90%. I do miss not going grocery shopping though.

(2019) PF Matthew Hurt to Duke
schoosier replied to goonaha's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
For Indiana to be in on these top players such as Hurt helps us in every way in getting better results. We will sign some of these, helps us in recruiting moving forward, and we will win a lot more games. Players of Hurts caliber can still be in the south relative and cut his parents travel in half to Tobacco Road. Those schools pillaged our state for years and now we can become the destination school. We need results on the court this year. -
(2019) SG James Bouknight to UCONN

IU’s rehab facilities have to be second to none with the underwater treadmill etc... Just how important is that to these fine athletes we recruits?
