For those not born yet or old enough to remember; there was a time in Assembly Hall where students weren’t allowed to wave their arms behind the basket. And usually, we kicked the other teams @ss. I understand a coached up student section is where the game atmosphere is now; and as long as the bubble heads are long gone I’m good. We will always have the most knowledgeable students and fans anywhere in college basketball.

When Creighton is offering 100K for a recruit, you can say with reasonable certainty cheating is pervasive in college basketball. The NCAA is nothing more than a bad joke. Bill Self and Kansas is the poster child for this with cash, cars, or anything else a recruit needs. They just flat out deny everything and the NCAA does nothing. The moral of this story is cheaters and cheating wins; just what the governing body has drawn up.

I hope he learns a pump fake ASAP.

This tells me Green hasn’t progressed more than Rob has excelled. Romeo and Juwan both need to stay healthy all year and both aren’t built as bruisers so I’m not concerned on effort in practice with those two. Romeo needs to get us 25 ppg and Juwan 17 & 9 if we’re gonna have the kind of season we hope to have. The others are earning PT now in practice and because shooting will be a premium; Al & Green may be on the outside and Damezi & Hunter could get those wing minutes. Both are better shooters/ scorers also. Green has potential but takes horrible shots and tries to make too flashy passes combined with inconsistencies we cannot have at point.

Big problems at Kansas which could lead all the way to the top. My biggest question is how are any of these players that received extra benefits still eligible? Discussing Zion Williamson demands? Duke and/or Nike must have met them so the NCAA should investigate him and Duke? I would love to see UK, Duke, UNC and Kansas all go down. They have excelled in this cheating culture with championships and Indiana has not. This explains how we haven’t gotten these top players and still looking for banner 6. Kinda puts extra calls which decimated our program into perspective.

So what will the governing body of college sports do? Nothing.

It’s hard to imagine 87-88 two years of 8 win seasons are the best back to back seasons ever. And I was there. Also, hard to believe it was our last NC in basketball. Hopefully, that changes soon.
