(2019) SF Trendon Watford to LSU
schoosier replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
We continue to wait and should on him and the other 2 amigos and grab the first top point prospect. Unless the staff wants to hold out for Carton which leads me to believe they feel great with Green, Durham & RP. All 3 I really like with improvements in Green’s maturity, Al’s consistent outside shot, and adding RP true point playability. If you feel good about what’s back and coming into the program you damn well better try to upgrade with talent. TW fits this profile. -
(2019) SF Keion Brooks Jr. to Kentucky
schoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
We haven’t seen a player like this ever at Indiana. Keion has Durant like qualities; similar to Magic but a better shot and hops. I don’t have a comparison unless big George and he was shorter and was more physically dominant without the handles. He needs to come on down with TJD and dominate. This talent from IN playing for IN brings true joy to my Hoosier heart. -

Throw Purdue in there also. Big Man U hasn’t got a chance lol -
(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
schoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I hope UK talks it up and he hangs a 50 pt mcGinness like performance. Unlikely as Kentucky is annually outmatched. Didn’t see the date of quote below, but a UK writer summed it up. That brings us to the losing bottom line of the series, at least on the boys’ side. Indiana has swept Kentucky seven years in a row, won 31 of the last 34 games and leads the 75-year-old series 92-42 -
He can shoot and is the biggest reason he’s here. Never saw a shot fake at the basket and he will get pummeled in the Big if he doesn’t learn quick. Decent passer and adds a good GPA to help our %. I don’t see him starting after seeing these highlights.

I don’t see McBob starting but I do as 6th man. Hunter Is too good not to start. Evan can sub for either Juwan or Smith or start if we go big. This isn’t counting these other frosh who will work hard to play. Lots of options compared to last year for sure.

(2019) SF Trendon Watford to LSU
schoosier replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Agree. I would do the dance with Brooks until the end and hold one for him or Hurt. Hope TJD comes on down first though or Watford. These prolonged recruitments are taxing but I believe the staff needs to do it for some of these 5 star IN players. As long as $ isn’t involved our chances increase the longer it goes for these players. -

We had Tom Crean for a decade. Whats another heading towards 4? I think we have the right coach now. -

(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA
schoosier replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Romeo set the bar for decision day, and I’m good with it that it’s their choice. The conundrum is if other players are ready. I would think 5 stars you have to be willing to ride along. Players like Romeo, TDJ, Brooks, Watford or others you may covet works in our favor where they can regularly visit and are already part of IU. Being home state and the luxury’s we offer, gives CAM the advantage. Like TDJ said he knows Indiana so the bar is already at levels most can’t replicate. -

Brooks gave him a lot of good looks. Both would look great as Hoosiers as they obviously enjoy playing together. -
Juwan Morgan RETURNING For Senior Season
schoosier replied to Cheaney40's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I like this lineup unless Davis isn’t healthy, and I give high flying Forrester and Thompson plenty of early minutes. You have to consider Hunter gets minutes with Anderson and Romeo sliding over to 1. Green may be the odd man out esp if Durham continues to improve shooting. Green will need to shine early with less turnovers and mental lapses, and we upgraded his position x 2. -

Really excited to see what Romeo & RP do together. There’s one basketball and a pass first point is critical. Adding Hunter, Anderson & Forrester is just an awesome first class. -

Has Mr B-ball been announced? Got to think a lot of rumors will start flying afterwards. Kansas offers a lot but playing at home in front of loved ones(us) and retiring later combined with Archie’s youth and ability makes this a no brained. -
Would love any of those 3 coaching for us in the future. Maybe if we’re successful, one of assistants will take a head job and open a position up. 3 awesome players and people and great ambassadors of Indiana.

NCAA Commission on College Basketball Report
schoosier replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I am fully convinced no matter what the FBI uncovers, the NCAA will do nothing to the cheaters regardless with universities and coaches involved. When your an academic institution and catch decades long cheating by one of your southern blue bloods and do nothing, what’s a little money changing hands? My hope is that at some near time, the Power 5 conferences strike out on their own and destroy the organization that selectively enforced their own laws. -
(2019) SF Keion Brooks Jr. to Kentucky
schoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Back in the day UK always concerned me since they’ve always cheated. Rupp’s players shaved points, JB Halls were paid, and you know Calipari’s past transgressions at UMass & Memphis. He’s gonna get his share of 5 stars. I only hope Archie can reduce the number of Hoosiers who suit up for UK starting with Brooks. -
NCAA Commission on College Basketball Report
schoosier replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I thought the extra stipends only applied to full athletic scholarship players. The majority of baseball players don’t get it, and woman’s field hockey wouldn’t either unless they were full rides. IMO the NCAA has already done more to damage their institution thru selective enforcement compared to paying athletes extra stipends. -

I quit reading after that. Would probably suggest exact opposite of anything he says b-ball related. -

Replacement for Romeo after he goes pro? He appears to have similar strengths and build. -

It’s been 31 years for us. -
This is my take for students and recruits even considering MSU. I sure as hell wouldn’t want to send my daughter to a school with this type of actions by the athletic dept. It’s despicable quite frankly.

Brooks for me along with TDJ if we only get 2 wings. Brooks is a special talent I would take over any other in his class. Hopefully get Carton at pg to go along for 3 man class.
