I thought I saw where flopping would now be assessed a technical foul and automatically thought Duke would be in trouble. There must be lots going on with this call.

IUBB vs Portland St game thread 11/9 @ 2 pm BTN+
schoosier replied to mamasa's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Did Davis get some minutes? I kinda like the saving him strategy until Big season especially since we have Brunk and TDJ that play. Having multiple bigs should really pay off this year. -

I’m surprised he didn’t get any smell. I believed he could help us this year. -
Oh hell no

Living outside of Columbia, lots of Gamecocks are happy he chose Carolina. -
(2021) C Logan Duncomb to IU, to Winthrop
schoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Yes and we have lacked this kind of size 2/3 deep which we need to win championships. I haven’t watched his tape but hope he continues to improve and comes on board. Hope he’s got an attitude also. I was thinking of the late Eric Anderson and Matt Nover, Calvert Cheney, and Henderson. They didn’t back down to nobody and won. -
Just like after Manning won them a championship? 3 years of probation but didn’t lose their banner. Look out Whichita St.

(2020) SF Jordan Geronimo to Maryland

I don’t think Hanner worked on his game much either. He did work on his party skills though. Dorm rooms probably not the best to practice though. -
And the $ is still flowing.

(2018) SF - Jerome Hunter Transfers To Xavier
schoosier replied to Class of '66 Old Fart's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Good point. Last year half the team seemed to be in concussion protocol and our shoe contract should be with the infamous boot manufacturer. Obviously, Jerome’s injury is much more serious and I’m not suggesting he hasn’t received and continue to receive the best medical care possible. I’m rooting for you! -
(2021) PF Trey Kaufman to Purdue

Excellent ball control with the hooks and using glass and deep. Has handles to go 1 on 1. Seems to score at will against option 2&3. Should we be concerned or happy we’re in the hunt? Awesome video. -
(2021) PG Khristian Lander to Western Kentucky U.

I’m with you on this thought. I believe with the transfer portal you get the best players now and continue to recruit the Lander type players for later. Chances are there would be room. -
2021 General Recruiting Thread

Curious what you put up in those months when you were playing? I’m not trying to be a smarta$$, but those kind of numbers deserve attention especially at his age. I’m a believer that we keep in touch with him even if he’s not 1a,b, or c. Scott Skiles comes to mind. -

Holy cow I forgot about that. 87 was such a special year for football and b-ball. I guess it overshadowed the following year and our early b-ball exit. -

We beat them in 1987 my junior year lol, so anything’s possible. Have we beaten them since? -

Ed Schilling Leaving, Mike Roberts Arriving
schoosier replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Congratulations Mike Roberts, and Archie needs to spend as much time allowed with the General. I believe both parties have an opportunity to right wrongs before it’s too late. Knight has already been on campus so hope to get him back to Assembly Hall soon. -

Would love for a Hoosier connection. Lewis, Cheaney, Moye, Fife. Instead of hiring a hot recruiting assistant, just let Adidas do all the work like they’ve already done for us. -
(2021) G Luke Brown to Ball State

I would hope we’re keeping in contact. 35 ppg is lighting it up anywhere in high school b-ball. -
Welcome to Indiana basketball Anthony Leal. As an old timer I can’t help but think of another Indiana wing/ guard combo like Leal and Galloway that had a little success in the early 80’s.

Isn’t he already a pro in France? Or is that different than the pros that play for Duke, UNC, Kansas, or Arizona?

So he’s taking a scholarship? Doesn’t that still leave us with 2 to fill and are we done for 2019? Thanks in advance. -
2020 General Recruiting Thread
schoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
If Archie’s believes in not using 20+ % of his scholarships, I probably need to rethink my support. We all witnessed last year with injuries and his poor decision on a 5th year player. Why would you just give up on this opportunity. I would grab a shooter and serviceable big rather than a Bawa/Tijan flyers and see if they can make the rotation. I can understand the one walkon/ gpa booster scholarship but to leave any unused is short sighted and poor coaching team management. -
The NABC or whatever they’re called is about as important as the ncaa. I would be willing to wager some of the biggest cheaters hold lofty positions in this organization. Didn’t Brey have a little moral dust up just a couple years ago with local reporter? Low morals and rules breaking unfortunately go hand in hand with coaching big time college b-ball.
