The inflexibility of this staff to adjust lineups is exactly how they game plan and without changes. The easy reason to see why we are inconsistent is that we regularly miss threes. Archie just isn’t a good coach.

Who set the standard? Then, name me one coach that doesn’t cheat or run their programs in the gray? By your standard that rules out Beard since he worked with Knight who threw chairs and choked players amongst many other indiscretions. Where do we stop? Our university, board, alumni and fans act holier than thou yet we looked the other way much like other notables like Penn St, Mich St, UNC academics. I don’t mean to pick on you but these litmus tests won’t find us a winning coach. I would give Fife a chance along with Alford, Wittman, Woodson or other Indiana guy if we Archie goes.

Lander, Leal and Galloway have played a lot together in aau . The cohesiveness is undeniable and results speak for themselves. They need and will get more minutes and we could be really good.

How about when we fired Sampson? He was hired from his program on probation for what ultimately got him fired here. And he could coach circles around anything we have seen since Knight. So the admin fires him for phone calls and let’s student ambassador’s hire his replacement.

He will get one more year. Our admin hasn’t cared about bball since 99 and football is on the way up.

Iowa was fools gold even though we have all given Archie the benefit of the doubt he could get us to better success. He’s just not a good in game coach and not playing Geronimo until the second half is a good example. What’s his buyout this year if we make a change? Beard can coach and recruit and it takes a combination of both to win big.

There’s no way to get top recruits unless they’re getting paid. Just look at the draft boards to know who is playing it. We just need our resources to play better.

Hire an ex IU guy or Beard who can recruit and call it a day. Archie just doesn’t have the chops and we know it in year 4.

We would never ever hire an Indiana guy cause he would win just like Painter does with Purdue. That’s on the administration.

Him and AJ compose the worst shooting backcourt in the Big. Watching Purdue shooters torch us just reinforces Archie’s recruiting ineptness. 122-89 all time series and Archie’s winless streak against Purdue really shows how much the administration wants us to win. Our program is just now a shell of what we once were, and it makes me the grumpy old man I didn’t want to be. Purdue was always a battle with great team but Indiana won championships.

6 up we blew it with the TJD turnover but we wouldn’t be there without him.

Leal is bringing some needed solid play and shooting. Doesn’t turn it over and steady. Exactly what we need.

I just don’t see how you play AJ and Rob together when both shoot so poorly and turn the ball over a lot. Let either run the point and sit the other.

If you’re not gonna get any calls and get blown out, why not set a precedent you ain’t taking this shot anymore and get tossed.

And all the 23 year old Wisky players sure have the flop down.

It’s hard to coach shooting unless your Dick Baumgartner lol. Look him up but he was a shooting guru in his prime and “cleaned up” (his term) a lot of pro players and others shots. Most of these players had a good shot at sometime in the careers to be fair. Dick used to sell a bball with a hand print on it and a circle for the off thumb to be placed. It works. Shooting is about reps plain and simple. Just look at Larry Legend coming early before games and staying late afterwards. Has TJD improved his shooting this year? Al, Rob? I would say no. How about Race and Franklin? I would say yes but I’m not trying to throw shade on the others mentioned. I feel esp bad for TJD because he gets mugged every game since we cannot shoot. While Archie cannot make his players practice shooting in their off time, he still recruited these players that really struggle at this part of the game. I do have other concerns with how much these players bulk up at IU and how this too can affect shooting as well as overall health like back issues. But overall coming out of high school, the coach at Indiana should have no questions whether a recruit is a good or great shooter or a project like Victor. For that look no further than our 5 million $ man.

I really liked the big lineup with Hunter and only 2 guards. It helped take some pressure off TJD and he performed well in the second half. I would like to see a starting lineup of TJD/Race/Hunter/Galloway and either Rob or Al depending on who’s hot. It matches up so much better to the big lineups we see in the Big.

Did he ever get to shoot? How about the kid going to Stetson?

That ended last year when the general returned. Our administration still sucks though and they’re happy not winning.
