Good for him. I’d like to see him do good since Woodson was a dick to him.
-
For the older crowd, who can remember Mad Max.
-
Now you know why cars are so freaking expensive. :)
-
Paperwork, we don't need no stinking paperwork. Extend Mike Woodson. :)
-
IF. That's the problem. If he still had the fire to coach College basketball, he would jump at the chance with IU. So far, from all public accounts he has not.
-
Yes he does. I question whether the fire is there to coach in college in today's environment.
-
What if we extend Mike Woodson? :)
-
Great players make great coaches. Recruiting standards are everything when competing in the power conferences. In order for NW to compete that have to find basketball players with power conference talent and 4.0 gpa and 1500 SAT scores. That’s a needle in a haystack.
-
Their academic standards are impossible. Most kids from Chicago area school can’t even sniff NW cause most Chicago area schools suck. You’re basically looking at Ivy League talent.

If Dolson has had his guy for a while, it’s Brad. That’s the only guy that fits. Now enjoy your day.
-
Hey Debbie Downer . . .
-
Guys, it’s Brad. Now enjoy your day. :)
-
At this point Dolson should know for sure whether Brad is in or out. If Brad is waffling, then it's basically time to cut him lose. Just tell him if he gets interested again we'll talk if I haven't hired the new guy.
-
If she's a JR, she doesn't have to move. Mom and her can stay home, while dad comes and works. Flies back on the weekends, etc. It's a very short period of time and will go quick because Brad has a whole lot of work to do cleaning up the current mess. Probably won't see much of dad that first year or two anyway. :)
-
Gotta wait 2 more pages to find out. :)

Let's face it. Stevens has as many NCAA banners as I do. :) Ok, but here is the thing. Is the guy driven to adapt and succeed? That's what you have to determine with every new coach. Woody was clearly a no, no way, no how -- and the results speak for themselves. Brad, he just may be a different person. Being successful at Butler and then Boston shows he's willing to do what it takes.
-
Well Dusty go bad advice. Should have waited and seen what other options there were to leverage Michigan. This is an underwhelming extension.
-
Well then if I am reading this right, the deal was made the morning of Feb 14. Stevens tells Goodman he is not a candidate for the IU job, without telling him it's because he just accepted the IU job. Perfect. :)
-
It's almost a joke of an "extension" for a guy that may win the conference in year 1.
-
Surely you're joking. No other coaches can even talk about IU directly with Scott right now. All he can do is his background work (i.e.; what brand of scotch the Beard like) and maybe chat with an agent or two "hypothetically." Still a long way to go.
-
I am sure Scott has a timeline in mind. The beauty of it is he can work on Stevens now since he's not coaching. Can't really do anything "official" with May, Cronin, etc. until their seasons are over. So he's go between now and the end of the Big Tournament to nail down Stevens. If he doesn't, he has a week to prep and switch to the next guy or guys depending on how long their NCAA tournament runs last. He's either going to announce Stevens the day after Woodson is done, or take a few days to get the next guy. We'll know soon. :)
-
Ok, even though I'll make fun of him, I can live with him. :)
-
I don't want a one dimensional coach. Tough defense AND great offense is the key.
-
Sorry to disappoint but Goodman wasn’t wrong. You are not a candidate after you accepted the job. :)
-
Brad will be revealed as the next coach on page 1500.
