Not necessarily. We have a lot of dot connecting, second hand conversations and stuff. Not the kind of stuff the media will get behind and actually report. They probably "hear" the same stuff, but can't report it because they can't source it -- maybe they still have some credibility left.

Yeah, I don't see the GM absolving the Head Coach of recruiting. I see a true GM organizing a staff of player personnel people to review and monitor all college and HS players on their board. The head coach would still get to decide what players he will want/need -- fit is still important. GM will hand him a list and deal with the money. Coach is still going to have to hit the gyms and schmooze the players. But that's just my idea.

You're wrong. Every day, get one more yard. Take on faith, take it to the heart. The Waiting is the hardest part. :)

Sure, but the job was already accepted. 2 weeks is a freaking lifetime and way too much can go wrong in that timeframe. IF the dude doesn't want to coach, and has to think about it, then we should just move on to a guy who wants to be here.

No way they announce while Woodson is still coaching. But then again, you want to cause maximum pain -- there it is. :)

First, as others have said, just avoid the thread if you're not interested. But, second, and more importantly, It's about Woodson's lack of class after is "retirement" announcement. He needs to grow a pair, and do his schedule interviews before and after the games, his Monday night show, etc. Be a fkg man. As for the tournament, oh what could have been. Sure I am behind the players as they play for IU. But, gosh darn it. This team could have had such a better season. Had they won a few of the winnable games, they wouldn't be a bubble team (if that). They would be solidly in and looking at a good Big Tournament seed. It sucks, and it only sucks because of one dude -- Mike Woodson.

No, he’s just throwing that out there and given Woodson it is a possibility he causes more issues going out the door.

Didn’t have beating MSU on my bingo card. What could have been this season. It’s really a shame.

If I am connecting the dots: 1) Mike asks for the "assurances" of a 5th year. Dolson says no fkg way, we'll review at the end of the season. That was what we heard about a few weeks ago -- it was settled, just waiting on the right timing. 2) Mike gets mad and quits. Then changes his mind, realizing there is money on the table. That's the fiasco we heard about last week. 3) Dolson, in an effort to save Mike from himself, puts out the kinder and gentler "woody is a good guy" statement. 4) Dolson contacts Brad and says "it's done" you want to talk. :)

Nah, they are going to let the season end and let Woodson clean out his office. Day after, it will be announced if it has been in place already.

Maybe they are being misdirected because Dolson doesn't want another Woodson.

It's pretty simple. If he want's to coach college, he knows the job is his. All he needs to do is pick up the phone. If he doesn't want it, then move along. No reason to belabor it.

Sure, but that is exactly why he sucks. Extremely easy to put a simple statement together, as you have shown above. Instead, he wants to run an hide.

Yeah, he got one thing wrong though. Woodson isn't a grown man. He's a petulant child.
