because he had it handed to him on a silver platter. And instead of grinding his way thru and committing 100% to the job, he loafed it. Then started blaming the fans. He did it to himself.
-
He has nobody to blame but himself.
-
So are you saying, he's getting his buyout even though he "retired?"
-
But it would make it Brad Fing Stevens. :)
-
Ok, I'll bite. If there are really death threats, then publish them. We can find out which Purdue fan did it.
-
Look guys. With IU out of the Big10 Tournament, Scott has a few days to lock up Brad. He knows we are likely out of the NCAA tournament as well, so he needs to prepare for a Monday announcement.
-
He did extremely well. But he did get to the final 4 twice and the championship game once. Didn't come home with a banner. Having those 4 and 5 * horses is extremely helpful.
-
Yeah, I understand. But sometimes you have to let Cheney, Olidipo, etc, do what they do.
-
Not to be negative, but he didn't win the banner either. Horses matter.
-
Yeah, I don't deny that. But way too many coaches get full of themselves and are too stubborn to change and adapt. They will force their "system." See our current guy for Exhibit A. :) He's going to be able to attract much better talent at a school like IU. You don't want to handcuff them in a D2 style system.
-
My concern with a guy like McCullum is lack of experience at the D1 level and can he, or will he, adapt. He plays an offense that worked great with limited talent and the D2 level, and seems to work at Drake. Sure, he beat a top team here and there. But we are talking the daily grind of the Big10. Can he, will he, upgrade his system to attract and use more talented players he can get at IU? You need the horses at this level to be consistently good.
-
He dealt with high level recruits at Duke for umpteen years.
-
He's beat us like a freaking drum. You have to accept the fact that great players don't go to Northwestern, as most can't get in. They really don't belong in the Big10. How would his teams do in the Ivy League?
-
Sure, but if he's really reaching out to guys the news is bound to get out. The more points of contact, the more chance of it being leaked. There is just no way he's reached out to 4-5 coaches and we haven't heard a peep.
-
Given that we haven't really heard chit, only two possibilities exist at this point. 1) It is in fact Stevens and they are just waiting for the appropriate time to announce. Would be pretty simple to keep it quiet as only Stevens, Wife/agent, some big $ boosters would know. OR 2) Dolson hasn't really done squat himself yet. He's letting the search firm develop the candidate list and he'll pick it up as teams exit the various tournaments.
-
Word is he was seen on a Dunkin run wearing an IU pullover.
-
Spiffy Trey is definitely better than grungy Trey.
-
Now that's a freaking smokescreen. :)

I think what they mean by the "cig route" was the profile he used to find a winner. Not necessarily the level at which someone coached.
-
My guess is he doesn’t or didn’t want to leave. Young kids, home town, I think his dad is still in town, etc. Nothing wrong with making a few million and living on the north shore of Chicagoland.
-
There are no rules. Technically they aren’t supposed to be linked at all. Remember it’s supposed to be a marketing deal, not pay for play.

All this list, plus the additions, proves is that we grew up in an awesome generation of music. The young kids are missing out. Oh, and even Angus says he was the second best guitarist in AC/DC. Malcom was the boss

Yes. I think they call themselves Best of both Worlds. They have a Roth guy and a Hagar guy. Search them on youtube.
