Nebraska has somehow cracked the top 25 and is killing Wisconsin right now.

This is why I never post about Purdue either struggling or being in a tight game with somebody, because any time I do they go on like a 200-0 run.

OSU fans are trying so hard to convince themselves that Day threw this game because it's apparently hard to beat the same team twice in one season (I guess that's college football's version of the myth that it's hard to beat someone three times). Seeing them have to come to grips with a loss to IU pleases me greatly. Never thought I'd live long enough to see it.

Imagine being 3rd on this list and going 2-10. Doesn't speak too highly of Odom's coaching ability or the players he brought in.

Saw a pretty funny meltdown from a Notre Dame fan saying these playoffs are illegitimate without them in it, and if Indiana wins the entire system needs to be scrapped.

If we lose any of these three games, then we can focus all our attention on next season and beyond. I just looked at the top 25 and there are nine Big Ten teams ranked. That's not even including Illinois, who received 1 vote for plastering us last weekend, or Minnesota, who took a top 10 Maryland team to 2OT. In just 2 years, we've completely disappeared from the national landscape.

Whenever IU is involved, bad smoke is almost always true no matter how sketchy the source.

If there's a record to be set by a good team for doing something poorly, Purdue always seems to find a way to do it. I couldn't figure out why they were preseason #1. The Colts were playing a game on FOX back in October, and they got to talking about how Indiana teams were on a great run recently. One of them mentioned the basketball rankings would be out in a few days and Purdue would probably be #1. I thought I must have misheard him or he was just trying to give them some recognition after raving about IU football. It's a long season of course, but right now I think there are at least 5-6 teams better than Purdue.

I saw a comment from an Iowa fan yesterday saying he's glad they don't play IU next year, and he never thought he would hear himself saying that.

I thought the turning point last night was when we had the back to back tackles for loss. The first half, it seemed everyone was worried about going down more than one score and the game getting away from us. They had the ball to end the first half and had it to begin the second, and when we stopped them the first time and then put them in 3rd and 27 the next time, it just felt like something shifted.

General WBB Thread
TheWatShot replied to IUFootballHappyHappyJoyJoy's topic in Indiana Women's Basketball
UK beat them 76-35 and they lost to PFW a few weeks ago. They're not in a good place right now in women's basketball or football and that makes me happy. -
It's funny how we've gone from guys who couldn't get their feet behind the line on shots to guys who are way too far beyond it.
