The UNC fake class scandal broke the NCAA. They spent 7 years on that one and came up empty. They're not even trying anymore.

Indiana being on that list is enough to convince me it's not real. (and it's not, BTW) Other teams are going to start loading up with pros, and Indiana will continue clutching pearls with its Atlantic 10-caliber roster.

One of these days, our athletic department will finally figure out how to properly schedule for basketball. I'm expecting a rough game tonight. We always seem to look fatigued and slow-footed right before Christmas. That game against Washington after nearly two weeks off might be rough as well.

Totally random and probably meaningless, but I noticed that Lindenwood was 334 in Kenpom when we played them and is now up to 230.

Hamilton Southeastern had the #3 SOS in the state last year. 24 of their 28 opponents were 4A. Not sure if you're confusing her with someone else or just too busy grinding that axe to care.

If basketball was ranked between 10 and 20 right now, we're not having this conversation.

No one is apathetic about IU football. People are apathetic about IU basketball because they're tired of unranked, nondescript IU teams with obvious limitations that aren't relevant to anyone outside of Indiana, year after year, way more often than not for the past 25-30 years.

Immediate gratification because the coach isn't over-performing after 12 games is one thing. I think it has more to do with being told, yet again, to be patient. We were patient with Crean. We were patient with Miller. We were patient with Woodson (even though he said he wanted to win right away). Now we're being told to be patient with DeVries. Eventually most fans are going to look at that and say "what's the use? it's not getting fixed, no matter how patient we are or how many times we're told to be." That's what leads to apathy.

I remember reading "Season on the Brink" where the team had a game at Northwestern, and got lazy in the 2nd half with a big lead. Knight took a timeout and ripped them for only winning the second half by one point, and demanded they be better the rest of the game. Sure wish we could ever see that kind of energy and accountability in this program again.

I think Sienna's got a real shot Monday night.

Haven't been able to watch. Are we still playing the "awful" brand of basketball we saw against Penn State, or are we good now?

Seems like a good game for the old heads to complain that we're shooting too many 3's.

I think he got lucky with Moren. Archie Miller was another path of least resistance hire. He let the media do his homework for him on that one.

Unfortunately, this has been a problem for a long time. But I think that contingent is getting smaller every year, for obvious reasons.

Not disagreeing with any of this. But I'd like to point out that Dusty May won both of his "early" conference games, one of which was an unexpected win at Wisconsin (where we haven't won this century). Our new guy's first road game, we got punked by a bottom-feeder who also had a first-year coach. A good way for a coach to calm the masses is to over-perform, or at the very least, not under-perform. DeVries doesn't appear to be doing either.

Just wait until this little punk gets his first job rejection. The adult world is going to chew him up and spit him out.

We finally appear to land the knockout punch and then Beaumont gets T'd up and they get a 4-point possession. Good grief.

Teri Moren's 20-win season streak will likely end this year. This is not a good team.

Every game, at least one of three issues seems to plague this team: 1) Can't rebound 2) Too many turnovers 3) Too many fouls Today it's 1 and 3.

The NFL has been rigged ever since the Tuck Rule was invented to help the Patriots survive en route to their first Super Bowl.
