Regarding next year, we more than likely will need another transfer portal haul, partly because we're old and partly because it appears the latter half of our bench is unplayable at this level. IMO, Dorn and Sisley are the two guys we build the team around for next year. I'm not saying they will be our 1 and 2 for the 2027 season, but that they are 2 players that we should strive to retain from this year's team....after all, they are in this year's 8 man rotation.

CBS also names other schools affected by the allegations.  
Wester MI, Butler, ST. Johns, East Carolina, McNeese St., Duquesne, LA Salle, Kent State, OH, Georgetown.  What affected means who knows.  Shocked to see Butler on here.

Also, it was a bit tense reading through the list of schools praying IU wasn’t on there.
 

Now that we're going into year 3, I'm starting to see a trend with the staff regarding the portal. Try to sign at least one experienced player at every position.  Experienced means, a player that has played significant snaps and extra bonus if they have multiple years of eligibility. I'm looking forward to see how the developed high school signees mix in next season. Questions like, will we see guys like Garcia, Hall, or Burrus get any snaps?
 

Don’t disagree but unless you have a retro-Montverde type roster, you should stand out. Even then you should stand out in ways.  
 
He has the projectables.  Hes unselfish, it seems. As I said before potential is there.
My initial statement was production is not.  Teams know who their best players are. They get the ball more. They take more shots.  They become the focal point by default. All the best players have high production at that level. 
 
He’s had some games with production but not consistency. 
 
Anyway, as a likely future Hoosier, be great Kid.  

So at this point I would assume the biggest needs would be adding a LB, another RB (Makhi Frazier visiting Thursday), a TE (or 2), and obviously the biggest question being LT depending on Carter Smith's decision.

Exactly.  People act like we are in a better spot. Not by much.  Dorn and Sisley as potential starters. Maybe neither should start yet. Could easily argue we need 5 starters from the portal to be competing at the top.  Crazy.  And who wants to commit to Indiana right now unless we overpay.  I mean, he absolutely has his work cut out for him.  I just don’t see a path tbh.  
 
The path imo is overseas pros and find a great scout who can identify.  That’s the only path I see working.

That pick could be worth a kings ransom if they want to try and build the team through the draft and sign a veteran QB.

It sounds as if next years starting five “only” needs a productive PG, SG and 2 frontcourt guys  from the portal.
