For the record I just wanted DeVries to make the tournament, show some optimism, and have a building block season. 2 weeks ago, that didn’t appear to be the case and year 2 and the tenure gets more difficult. But now, we are on pace to achieve minimum expectations which should help his cause to build. BUT, saying message boards, X, Facebook have no real world effect just isn’t true. The vibes of the program are measured through attendance and online discourse. It’s one of the things the AD monitors. HOWEVER, 1 year is never gonna be a measuring stick to fire a new hire without something in the background. 2 years might be if results are terrible. So yeah, this is a venting session for sure and thankfully it seems we can quell it a little bit.

In real time I thought Blackwell pulled on his arm and dragged him forward. It was an awkward movement. This explains it well. Seeing all the Wisconsin fans crying on X while being so clearly wrong is enjoyable. lol

I can’t begin to describe my emotions the last 30 minutes of that game. This game was critical. Thought for sure we pissed it away twice. My goodness. We needed it so bad. Home friendly calls in the final 2 possessions without question. My goodness.

2 years is enough. If you don’t have something going in 2 years in today’s era, you’re cooked. I’ll never understand what he was trying to do with this roster from a ceiling standpoint. I think he completely misjudged Bailey. Anyway, I just want to salvage a tournament appearance and see if next season he can build something better. If not, let someone else try, imo. and yea, every year 1st year coaches get something going. In Virginia and Iowa’s case the rosters are even on paper. So, do with that as you may. we’ve definitely lost games we should have won this year.

Still too early. We built a bubble team, and we are playing like a bubble team. Hopefully we can sneak into the tournament then pray we aim for better next season. (not holding my breath). If we miss the tournament and then underwhelm in the off season with like results, this page will have merit.

He’s not Bennett Stirtz that’s for damn sure. He wants it. He plays hard. He does the little things. But the shot making isn’t as good as it needs to be for the other issues he has.

If we don’t end up with a shot blocking/rebounding Big going into next year I’m going to pull my hair out. We get absolutely mauled on the boards.

Very winnable game. Frustrating to lose this one. Played like crap most of the game. Back squarely on the bubble. Was a chance to get off the bubble with this one. Wisconsin at home is now about a must win with upcoming loses @Illinois and @Purdue.
