  1. Might want to hold off on that crow dinner until we see how our defense performs in the next bunch of games. The defense in the Northwestern game was some of the best defense I've seen Indiana play in 8 years now, but NW has also been struggling. Still, the improvements over the course of the season are noticeable, and I'm optimistic.
  2. Where are people seeing that Romeo will be on ESPN Friday? Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando BtownBanners
  3. I was nervous about Romeo’s recruitment from the beginning because of the schools involved. Still am Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando BtownBanners
  4. A little confused. Those numbers were our defensive improvement, nothing to do with our offense. [emoji854] Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  5. These numbers paint the picture that has already been so obvious. I’m a big fan. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  6. Hmm maybe. I see what you’re saying. But Indiana AD is bringing in more revenue that a few major basketball powerhouses, specifically Kansas, which started this whole conversation another time when we saw a hype video for their new basketball facilities. Check out this link (sorry, couldn’t find 2016-2017 numbers) http://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/finances/ Kentucky’s football team isn’t what put them at #13 on that list either. 7. Well, we just finished tens of millions of dollars worth of renovations to keep and improve one of the most historic venues in college basketball, while adding state of the art nutrition and exercise facilities for all student athletes in Memorial Stadium. Earlier you posted that we didn’t have enough money to replace AH. Can you prove that? Because that sounds like BS to me. In my opinion, this fan base and the boosters have zero interest in tearing down AH. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  8. Personally, I’ve never selected a new job based on facilities. I picked based on my managers, teammates, success of the company, potential to succeed during my time there, and the opportunities it provided me to learn and grow. Oh, and compensation, but that’s where this analogy gets controversial. Seriously though, facilities sure add a nice “wow” factor, but the items I listed above are certainly more important for anyone planning for more than a 9 month stay. 9. Wasn’t this more Ostrom? He’s the Minnesota guy. Your point is still valid, maybe just misplaced. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  10. Sure. But forcing kids into your system that encourages this behavior in order for them to reach their dream (NBA), and then punishing them when they get caught is morally corrupt. Either get out of their way, allow the activity, or fix your system. And before anyone says the NBA sets the rule for one-and-done, they did set the rule, but they aren’t the only party behind that decision. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  12. Not saying Brian Bowen is innocent. Just saying he played the game in the system the NCAA created. You think he’s the only one? Let’s not punish a kid, pretend like that fixes the issue, pat each other on the back for catching “the bad guy”, and move on. Let Brian Bowen play. The system provides incentives for cheating. Fix the system. Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando BtownBanners

  14. Honestly, let the kid play. The people who bribed him are the individuals in power who are paid to uphold the rules of their system. I understand that legally the active and passive party in a bribe are guilty, but until the NCAA undergoes team change to fix this systemic issue and prevent this from happening in the future, I don’t want to see individual student athletes punished. 15. Thanks for sharing. More fun than the constant flood of guarantees of a recruiting loss, and equally believable. Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando BtownBanners

  22. This season has alleviated all concerns I have at PG next season on. This kid is ready. Love that he’s going to be a multi-year guy. Without a Shabazz type college career, he should be here four years. I’m slow to the uptake, but not being in Indiana means I don’t get to see these kids in person ever. Good call Old Friend on this kid. Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando BtownBanners
  23. Yeah his health is more important than the sentimental value of seeing him and Yogi play. Sorry his knee injury poo’d on your pastry, but for a team trying to contend for the playoffs, resting your all star to avoid injury is smart and well thought out.
