  1. The idea of playing with Indiana on his chest is very exciting to him. Yeah... I think we’re in a good spot. Also, listed us then MSU in his list of schools. I don’t normally consider this stuff much, but interesting that his own stated list closely resembles the order of the predicted schools and their chances. 2. He absolutely was due to 1) pedigree 2) Indiana connection Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  3. Direct quote from the article, “Anderson was impressed by IU’s state-of-the-art facilities.” Weird. I was told our facilities turned off recruits. Huh. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

  5. I can’t wait to talk about how we’re all frauds who change our picks last second and have a vendetta against certain schools Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando BtownBanners
  6. Thanks. This is my zoom out perspective that I keep, and ignore the everyday news. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  7. This is a business decision per Tim Langford. Romeo’s brand in the state of Indiana is at an all time high. He’s creating a story as the next great Hoosier to grace basketball locally and it will only continue to spread nationally. His name will be bandied about with other Hoosier greats leading up to the commitment. If he goes to Indiana, the story is cemented and becomes the focus of the entire season, and his brand sky rockets. If he goes to Vandy, he starts a completely new story, and his current brand is completely lost. He has the chance to make a new college Big 3 brand as part of one of the best recruiting classes ever, but it’s a complete reset. If I’m running a business, I stick with the brand that has a massive following and has all of the momentum. Romeo to Indiana. Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando BtownBanners
  8. If he really wants him to suffer, let him get to prison. Rapists aren’t treated well there. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  9. Ok, so nothing new/concrete. Thanks for clarifying! I didn't see anything on Twitter and was confused
  10. Welcome to the age of social media, where the money can no longer completely control the message. Social media is a two-sided blade, but one side certainly has wrought damage as a weapon of democracy.
  11. I think you're forgetting that there is very little shared investment value for the consumer outside of pure entertainment value. I agree, the crowd completely adds to our performance, ability to retain players, ability to recruit top players and coaches, and ability to raise funds. All the more reason Indiana needs to figure out why they aren't providing enough value or incentives to retain one of their most valuable assets. Simple. In your example, Coke is superior to its competitors, and attracts many consumers. It also offers a product mix, which can cannibalize its existing product consumption, or tap into a whole new segment of consumers. Indiana basketball is competing against all other forms of entertainment - music, Netflix, the state fair, belligerently drunk coed extravaganzas - and [potentially cannibalizes the consumption of its live experience product via streaming and broadcasting the game. It is their business and their business alone to drive their consumers to the product that produces the highest profit margin. I think we both agree that there are significant reasons why that live experience is the most important product. The fans have ZERO responsibility to provide "free" aid to Indiana basketball. If the only force driving fans to games is sentiment, well, that's a pretty weak business model.
  12. If you're in the entertainment business, which Indiana basketball is, and you're having attendance issues, improve your entertainment value. It's not the consumers fault they don't want to consume your product. It's Indiana's job to make their product more desirable than the other products on the market. Simple business concepts here.
  13. Thats what i got from that article. This is an internal power struggle between Sr. and Shabazz. Seems like Keion is handling it well enough. Sign him up. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  14. Can you not quote him? It circumnavigates the ignore feature I turned on for him Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  15. You just patrolling twitter looking for any mention of Romeo? I mean, I can go tweet that out and it’d have just as much bearing. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  16. Four year true PG in Phinisee. Honestly, even with Romeo next year, this team is still a few years out from being a title contender. We need some pieces to mature and reach their potential as juniors and seniors, and then have some 5* star talent as well to truly have a chance, if you look at some of the trends in the past two decades.
  17. It's 2018 and Indiana basketball hasn't been relevant in almost three decades. This isn't a geography problem, IU basketball doesn't even have the same market share of fans in Indiana as they used to. This is a winning problem. Win and they will come. Also, just giving more tickets to alumni will result in the same problem. If Indiana isn't winning, very few will want to drag their walkers to their cars, drive through heinous traffic, and watch as their team loses to a mediocre B1G team. The only solution is winning. IU basketball isn't a religion anymore.
  18. Good for him. He’s got a great attitude and a lot of tools. With the right development and coaching he could be a real solid NBA player. Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando BtownBanners
  19. What were the pro’s you came up with in that thought? I only see downside Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  20. That is a weird quote from Darius. If I were Romeo, I’d be like, “F you dude, you’re not my boss.” Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando BtownBanners
  21. Before Drew started landing any recruits, I said there’s no way he’s not dirty like his brother. Many on here defended him saying he’s actually a good guy, and no one knows where his brother came from. A couple 5* commits later: “Bryce Drew is scum just like his brother!” Enviado desde mi iPhone utilizando BtownBanners
  22. I think some of you take this way too personally.
  23. I can only ignore for so long haha
