What would CuJo transferring have to do with Romeo going to Vandy early?

Does he? Or will it still take 3 years for Archie to build and recruit a team of 12 other players that understand his system and expectations. What happens when Romeo leaves? Is the next top 20 player a must get and an inexcusable miss?

Some have really lost perspective regarding the value of one recruit to a program. Archie is already doing the right things for long-term program success. Romeo might make next year better, but he doesn't fix any of the issues that were exposed during Crean's tenure. If one recruit could solve all of those, we probably wouldn't be talking about Archie Miller at all.

No one thought we’d really even sniff the dance this year, but a few weeks in and a close game against Duke has everyone skyrocketing back to where their expectations shouldn’t be. Regardless of talent level on next year’s roster, it will be an improved “team”. We will see annual improvement under Archie until we plateau. Based on comments from players and coaches on the practices, it's mostly focused on defense. Makes sense to me. Shooting and free throws is something that requires almost coaching (unless your shot needs modification) which they should be doing on their own. I wonder if they team just isn't spending enough time shooting on their own. You don't need to be a good shooter to make free throws at a respectable clip.

Actually, Matt Lauer has a 0% chance, and we have around 30-50% according to odds makers.

Anyone read Duke boards or know how Duke fans are feeling about this one? I gotta imagine they're uncomfortably optimistic, and I bet the team feels that way too. On the other hand, Indiana has nothing to lose. I like our chances.

I also wonder if DeBord has grown unaccustomed to having to be overly creative with play-calling, as he has had much more talented teams at Tennessee for a while. Still, would've liked to see some adaptability...

I don't think CAM is the type of coach to circle games on the calendar.... but I have a feeling he's been thinking about this all year. This is a chance for him, and the student section at AH, to make their first statement of the Archie Era. I expect us to play a reeeeeal close game. Hopefully we have some of the AH magic working for us!
