By all accounts Whitmer is close with Zac Robinson (semi-likely to be the Bucs next head coach after 2026, which could easily lead to Whitmer as OC) who is a McVay disciple. How we even ended up with a guy like that as our QB coach is beyond me. We were extremely blessed to get a year of him. I have a feeling in 5 years we're going to be asking ourselves "remember when that dude was our QB coach? How did we manage that?" And again, that's no slight toward Tino.

Getting s***canned a few weeks into your first season as an OC (how at-fault Tino is for Dashaun Foster being a giant Dumb A is debatable) knocks you pretty far down the ladder. I think he’ll be hungry and working for Cig he really doesn’t have a choice.

Piscataway sucks, but it’s a unique and pretty decent stadium. If that’s a 3:30 kick you guys are in for a real treat. Genuinely one of the prettiest sunset stadiums I’ve seen. Not sure if it’s the orientation or what but it’s very aesthetically pleasing. Edit: just realized this is off-topic. This is for the rutger-goers above.

Got a feeling Hoover committed to Cig and Shanny and the possibility of Whitmer going back to the pros was firmly out on the table with all the coaching openings there. Would be happy to see Tino back, but Whitmer gets to claim having coached the 2025 Heisman. That’s a big loss.

Watched him at the classic in December. Kid is an absolute problem for his area/competition. Runs well and has great hands. Didn’t know he was an exchange student.

Seems pretty cut and dried to me on the SGA thing. You're telling me nobody contending for a title could neutralize SGA enough to force Valpo's other 4 on the floor to beat them? No shot. SGA's Valpo team is 20 point dogs in a Sweet 16 game if they even make it there.

Not saying it’s right, but evals and offers are a big time copycat game for a lot of staffs*. The IUFB Bump is about to be a very real thing going forward, especially on the lines. *staffs that don’t win national championships
