The top Louisiana kids are funneled to LSU like crazy. It’s really, really hard to get them out of the state if LSU is interested because of how insular the culture is in the state. Florida has insane amounts of talent, but it’s always a battle between the state schools and outsiders. LSU has a massive built-in recruiting advantage that no one else has when their coach isn’t numbnuts Brian Kelly. Coach O winning a natty at that place tells me all I need to know.
