  1. Assuming he’s a lifer and not a MCDC bandwagoner, mad respect. That hasn’t been an easy life to live. And that’s coming from a Bears fan.
  2. In case anyone is worried about our focus level. (Language)
  3. Allen’s teams stayed at the dumpy-azz hotel all the way down at the lake. Definitely didn’t have to worry about anyone sneaking out there. Not sure if they’re still staying down there or not.
  4. Loudest AH game I’ve ever been to was a mini series game.
  5. And/or prepping to start flipping dudes like crazy once the carousel really pops off and the signing period opens up.
  6. This is the type of thinking that’s going to get a bunch of ADs and coaches fired. They’re the same in that they both sucked, but postseason 2023 Indiana had a perfect storm of circumstances, 90% of which developed by a unicorn who goes by the name of Curt, that will probably never be re-created. I wouldn’t put that type of pressure/expectation on a guy that’s never led a program. And I think Haines has the perfect make up to be an awesome HC.
  7. You’d think. Unless the JMU athletic dept. is full of pissy patties like the fanbase and curses that whole group of guys into their graves.
  8. That job stinks and would be a pretty massive jump. I’ve been saying for months that if Haines goes, he gets a high quality 2nd wave job. Tulane when Sumrall goes, JMU if Chesney goes, etc. Remember how piping hot Kane Wommack was when he took off and he got South Alabama.
  9. Not many guys out there that aren’t interested in running their own program. They exist, but there aren’t many.
  10. I can’t see us keeping Haines. I’d love to be wrong, but somebody’s gotta see the vision right? Then that really becomes a disaster if we somehow were to lose Haines AND Kuntz. Or a guy like Bostad. I have no reason to believe those position coaches are looking to move for something other than a clear promotion, but this is such a high quality staff anyone leaving will hurt.
  11. Yeah I’m pretty low on Arkansas as a job. That seems like it has Silverfield written all over it, then he gets fired in 3-4 and they’re back to the drawing board.
  12. Can’t imagine that’s much more than an alumni courtesy call at this point.
  13. A whole extra week for Cig to sit in his office and grind tape while stewing over the dumb s**t Odom said about our schedule. I’d consider feeling sorry for their fans having to sit around that cow pasture and suffer through watching their beloved goat humping football team get dog walked, but there’s going to be 30-40,000 Indiana fans in their seats. We’re about to cap off an undefeated motherfrickin’ season in Ross Ade Stadium. That genuinely might be better than doing it in Bloomington. If you really want to get demented, now imagine Indiana Football winning a national title before Purdue Basketball. I need new shorts.
  14. Give me the 3 seed and the winner of Miami/Ole Miss.
  15. Qualifier: it’s one of the ridiculous November FCS games, but a decent FCS school at least. Ty Fryfogle’s brother gave Mercer the business today.
  16. Brent Venables is kinda like if Tom Allen drank Busch Light.
  17. OU, Oregon, and BYU losses today are all realistic and would make for some fun chaos.
  18. The problem with the whole Arch hypothetical is that, again, Arch sucks out loud. He’s not bad because of Sark or Texas, he’s bad because he sucks.
  19. Hmm…nothing there. I’ll keep an eye out.
  20. Mongolian Mike sighting on CBSSN.
  21. Have said that too.
  22. A bit? Damn near walked over to the surely much more entertaining volleyball game at Wilkinson.
  23. Oh lord, let me guess…had to walk there both ways uphill in a snowstorm?
