  1. If this game didn't basically start tomorrow I'd be heading down. Tickets are dirt cheap as far as IU Purdue games go.
  2. I'd say the number one flaw in football recruiting rankings that isn't just "there's a billion kids and rating them correctly is literally impossible" is an early riser. A kid that starts/produces early at a big high school and gets noticed by the services. He gets ranked early on when there are less total kids being ranked, so he's already a step ahead. Then as he and his class get older, he never gets pushed down the rankings like he probably should, hangs on to a top-300 (often top-100) ranking when in reality he might not even be a top-1,000 kid. It's on the coaching staffs to identify these types and lazy staffs won't. The best IUFB example I have is Rashawn Williams from MLK in Detroit. He's one of our highest ranked recruits ever and didn't have a prayer of playing high level FBS football. Went to JUCO after one season and never made it back up. See my last sentence in the previous paragraph for all you need to know there.
  3. Yeah, I mean you're really just along for the ride in football recruiting. Nothing about it is linear or black and white nor will it ever be. Offers can be offers and offers can be kinda offers. Everything is fluid. I don't think it's that weak of an offer list personally. You can always pull up a kid's Hudl and watch him there.
  4. He's picked up more offers since that graphic was posted. Notably Ohio State in October. Not a great way to track how good a kid is either way though.
  5. The Green Dot could be handed down to a future All-American and we will still be taking a massive downgrade at that position. Unbelievable player and leader.
  6. Yeah, this tryout narrative is incredibly unlikely. Best of luck to Alberto, I’ll be rooting for him, but we didn’t send him off to another P4 program hoping he’d develop like some NBA draft and stash setup.
  7. Carter is 6’5 too, but the concern with him is length and lateral quickness. No idea how Brunner profiles as a tackle. Just doing some draft research and trying to piece things together. I could also be overthinking it. My scenario definitely leaves an odd man out if Brunner isn’t the replacement (between Lynch and Evans), but one thing that would solve is providing a depth OL piece with experience that I don’t feel we currently have.
  8. Kind of wondering if our 2026 center is Carter Smith. It sounds crazy to move our elite LT inside, but he profiles as an NFL center more so than a tackle and getting some sort of feedback backing that up kind of seems like the only reason he’d come back. I’d put money on him getting moved inside after getting drafted anyway. Bostad got Katic rolling as a center in one offseason and Smith is way more talented. The question then would become who goes to LT but, again, Bostad is one of the best in the business so I’m not worried about it.
  9. I’m also in the camp that we don’t need some 10-15k seating increase and I’ve seen nothing to suggest they’re looking into it. Until they need a season ticket waitlist or something, I don’t think the demand is there to justify what that would cost. Press box/premium seating and general stadium modernization will be the only major noticeable changes coming any time soon imo.
  10. Wheeler to Baylor pending eligibility.
  11. It’s the week after we play OSU. OSU Mich is game 12 every year now.
  12. There’s a “leaked” Michigan schedule out. If true we go to Ann Arbor the week after OSU.
  13. Would be mad about it and not claiming the rumors are true, but I see the vision with Becker and Tennessee. He is the prototype for Heupel’s offense.
  14. Coach Eddie dropped a commitment teaser, a Sarratt gif…let’s see who we got.
  15. This Purdue defense is garbo.
  16. It absolutely kills me that, even after winning the national freakin’ title, Cig is still rocking the 24-25 CFP 1/4 zip.
  17. Mellencamp unfortunately handed him one.
  18. There isn’t a single person on the mic that can feel their face. I’ve heard less slurring at the end of a 21st birthday party.
  19. For anyone that’s ever spent 10 seconds around the generation of kids on stage, that went about as expected.
  20. Just put the pieces together that we’re hosting a Junior Day on natty celebration event day. Including Sales. Think that might make an impression? Genius.
  21. I’m Team Dabo, good on him. That whole press conference was plain nuts.
