I’ve got 4 tickets for tomorrow’s game. I’d like to either sell them or if someone who has never been to a game before (or their kids) I would like to gift you with them. Let me know. Otherwise I’m gonna just hand them to a random stranger at the grocery.

I occasionally pop in but I’m nowhere near as engaged/interested in IU basketball as I have been most of my life. The last few years have done a real number on me. Still a bit devastated by being so close to getting Brad Stevens and having that fall through the way it did. Woody needs to win enough games to comfortably be in the tournament this season, or things will quickly get difficult for him. Winning truly will cure all things.

Something I haven’t seen mentioned, in regards to our shooting performance, that I think needs said is that 35% in the YUM center is not all that bad. It’s a tougher arena to shoot in. Lots of those will end up falling in AH and other B1G arena’s.

Ballgame! What happened to our offense?

I was born in 1986 and my first exposure to Indiana Basketball was the 1992 Indiana Hoosiers. My favorite IU player(s) were Calbert Cheaney and AJ Guyton. my favorite player since these guys has been Yogi Ferrell, hands down. I still to this day think IU fans took him for granted. He was so damn good. I’ll never forget the game we got beat by Louisville in Madison square garden. Yogi beat their full court pressure by himself the first few possessions, then the rest of the game, Pitino instructed his players to face guard him on the inbounds but IMMEDIATELY turn and sprint to the other end of the floor as soon as the ball touched Yogi’s hands. Talk about the ultimate respect.

We have a good team. Bordering on very good. Our QB situation has to get figured out though. We win this game if we have just a decent performance behind center today. Not getting caught up in the emotion of the start to this season. We are in a pickle but solid about play gives us a chance to get some big wins through the rest of the year.

Maybe give him a try. We can’t wait all season for Penix to come around. He’s clearly not himself. Hope he can turn it around bc our ceiling is highest with him getting his mojo back.

I would argue that the previous NCAA rules against this sort of thing will prove to have been more of a distraction than NIL. I can’t count how many prominent collegiate players openly voiced their frustration about the hypocrisy of the NCAA. This is a good thing imho. Will help schools like IU and others with sizable alumni/fanbases.
